About the role:

Provide leadership to ensure documented, controlled and auditable Configuration and Data Management processes and procedures are in place for all RSL programs.

A member of the Quality team supporting the procurement, assembly & test and delivery of quality compliant products and services.

To facilitate and support the identification, flow down and implementation of required customer, company and regulatory requirements.

To provide leadership for the CM department and support and drive development of people within the team.

Support financial requirements for programs and bids.


Skills and Experience

  • Experience within Manufacturing and/or Quality / Engineering organization.
  • Thorough understanding of configuration and data management processes and procedures.
  • Experienced in people management, proven success in managing a team.
  • Good level of customer knowledge (i.e. product & requirements).
  • Conversant with requirements of AS9100

Desired

  • Internal Auditor or training to AS9100.
  • Professional Configuration management-based qualification.
  • Knowledge of CCA manufacturing.

Desired

  • CAM trained – Knowledgeable in Earned Value and EAC process.

Responsibilities

  • Administer Configuration and Data Management to support company contracts in line with, RSL processes and practices, customer requirements and program security requirements.
  • Monitor and control CM/ DM activities against plan to ensure customer requirements and targets are met within allocated budget and take corrective action as necessary.
  • Management of people including performance management, development, coaching/mentoring & promotion of teamwork.
  • Interface and communicate with program, functional areas and customers to support the goals of the business.
  • Support external accreditation body, customer & internal audits.
  • Ensure effective & timely closure of actions received from Audit NC's/internal 8D's/customer complaints. Defect investigation to identify and address root cause and implement corrective action.
  • Ensuring integrity of products, materials and processes to satisfy business, customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Generation, review and maintenance of Configuration and Data Management Plans as defined within the relevant program documentation (As required).
  • Population and maintenance of the MRP & Manufacturing Management systems to support program requirements.
  • Creation and maintenance of program baselines.
  • Establish and chair the Configuration Control Board (CCB) in accordance with the Configuration Management Plan (CMP), the CCB Procedure and customer requirements.
  • Release, verify and control program artifacts to support business requirements.
  • Create and maintain various program reports and metrics relating to CM (Configuration Management) and DM (Data Management).
  • Archive and maintain customer and RSL Hardware and Software artifacts in a suitable Data Management repository per program requirements.
  • Create and conduct configuration audits to support program requirements as defined within the relevant CM and/or other program plans (as required).
  • Support the use of the company life cycle management system.
  • Provide input to business bids and proposals.
  • Provide input to program budgets through the EAC process.
  • Proactively identify and communicate process improvements and support company improvement initiatives.
  • Promote continuous Improvement, through best practise, problem solving & education to prevent & resolve issues and remove non value add processes.
