Reports to: Sr. Manager, Global Compensation
Location: US – Remote (Pacific or Central Time Zone preferred)

The Role

The Senior Compensation Analyst is a key contributor to the success of Deckers’ Total Rewards Programs. The incumbent in the position will conduct research, analysis, planning, and administration of Deckers’ broad base compensation programs. The incumbent will also contribute to broad-based compensation initiatives, systems optimization, and annual compensation planning cycle administration.

Your Impact

  • Provide integrated guidance to People Experience Business Partners (PXBPs) and business leaders on compensation strategy, job evaluation, promotions, job changes, and individual compensation or classification concerns
  • Advise on broader compensation issues to ensure alignment with organizational goals and compensation philosophy
  • Conduct job evaluations using organizational, market, and internal equity factors
  • Create and place jobs within the company structure and assign appropriate pay grades using job evaluation methodologies and market research
  • Develop, maintain, and champion job leveling frameworks, compensation guidelines, and pay equity practices
  • Ensure compensation programs support consistency, fairness, and transparency across the organization
  • Support compliance-related reporting and audit activities; ensure adherence to state and federal laws related to minimum wage, pay transparency, pay reporting, and other compensation-related regulations
  • Participate in annual and ad hoc salary surveys, including compliance-related pay reporting
  • Analyze survey results and market trends and recommend updates to pay structures, pay grade assignments, and compensation practices
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of compensation programs through internal and external research, including turnover trends, offer acceptance rates, and salary range variance analyses
  • Review employees’ pay regularly to assess internal equity and market competitiveness; recommend adjustments aligned with business strategy and budget
  • Oversee the accuracy and integrity of compensation data within the HRIS; audit employee compensation data, resolve discrepancies, and identify opportunities for system enhancements
  • Plan, develop, and support compensation and People Experience (PX) projects, including compensation modeling, annual market review, promotion cycles, and bonus plan reviews
  • Lead the planning, coordination, facilitation, administration, and reporting of the annual compensation review process; conduct after action review
  • Participate in developing and refining team processes and methodologies

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline
  • 6+ years of related experience
  • Workday experience preferred
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive company and personal information
  • Possess technical knowledge of competitive compensation practices and state and federal legal requirements
  • Experienced with job evaluation methodologies and understanding of how compensation programs contribute to overall talent strategy
  • Skilled in research and able to quickly propose solutions or courses of action
  • Demonstrate strong collaboration skills and the ability to partner and facilitate discussions with managers and employees at all levels
  • Possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex compensation concepts to diverse audiences and draft clear companywide communications
  • Exhibit strong problem-solving abilities, gathering and analyzing information to develop creative solutions
  • Highly detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality
  • Flexible and able to prioritize multiple projects in a dynamic environment

$109,000 - $118,000

The salary range posted reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this role in our Goleta, CA location. Individual pay will be determined by location and additional factors, including job related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
