The Medium Range Air Defense (MRAD) Product Area within the Land & Air Defense Systems (LADS) Strategic Business Unit has an immediate need for a Senior Business Manager (M5) to lead a team of 7-10 Finance professionals in a dynamic and high-growth portfolio of Foreign Military Sale (FMS) programs. The primary product offered by the MRAD Product Area, within the Short & Medium Ground Base Air Defense (SMGBAD) Sub-Strategic Business Unit (SSBU), is the National Advanced Surface to Air Missile System (NASAMS), which leverages the Sentinel A3/F1 and GhostEye radars, and integrates with the AMRAAM, AMRAAM-ER, and AIM-9X effectors. The sub-portfolio that the selected candidate would oversee contains existing contracts and ongoing pursuits for customers in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.

The selected candidate will be accountable for financial oversight of various FMS contracts spanning development, production, and sustainment phases. The position requires proactive leadership and significant interaction with Program Directors, Contracts, Requirements & Capabilities, Operations & Supply Chain, Engineering, and other functional partners to ensure alignment regarding strategic, operating, and financial objectives. The selected candidate will gain experience with bidding, negotiating, and definitizing contracts, exposure to Progress Payments and Performance Based Payment cash collection methods, and overall experience in executing large complex FMS contracts to ensure external and internal customer commitments are met. The candidate will ensure compliance with Earned Value Management System (EVMS) and Estimate At Complete (EAC) directives and policies, provide recommendations to ensure financial goals and plans are achieved (Financial Planning & Analysis) on a quarterly, annual, and long-term basis. The candidate will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with all company policies, directives, and procedures, and ensuring adherence to the highest ethical standards per the company Code of Conduct.

This role is being offered in a hybrid capacity with onsite work in Andover, MA. Preferred candidates will be located within a commutable distance to MA. Relocation assistance is not being provided.

What You Will Do

  • Oversee financial execution of various FMS contracts spanning development, production, and sustainment phases to ensure programs are on track to cost and schedule

  • Work with Program Directors and functional peers to ensure alignment regarding strategic, operating, and financial objectives

  • Ensure compliance with Earned Value Management System (EVMS) and Estimate At Complete (EAC) directives and policies

  • Meet expected financial plans by offering recommendations and comprehensive analysis on a monthly, quarterly, annual, and long-term basis

  • Obtain information from Accounting (APEX/SAP) and Production (PRISM/SAP) systems to aid in variance analysis and key decision making

  • Occasional domestic and international travel to business and customer locations

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, or related field & a minimum of 10 years finance or accounting work experience; OR an Advanced degree and a minimum of with 7 years finance or accounting work experience

  • Experience leading teams & interfacing with senior level management and/or customers, including formal presentations

  • Experience with proposal, capture, and/or negotiation

  • Experience with Earned Value Management System (EVMS) and/or Estimates At Complete (EAC)

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
