Support the Director and/or Senior Manager of the team to:

Identify product gap and/or discover new market space then assess its potential value to company; generate new product ideas then craft and test its initial design; formulate holistic new business strategies & propositions with an aim to drive innovation and business impacts; finally pitch senior managements and key stakeholders;

Support strategic and ad hoc projects, including regulatory industry consultation and channel initiatives;

Deliver high-quality business/ financial analyses for management decision-making, prepare presentation materials for management updates, present to senior stakeholders;

Partner closely with various departments and teams, such as Actuarial, Finance, Product, Pricing, Customer & Marketing, Operations, channel management teams, frontline, etc., to ensure alignment and cohesive execution across functions.

Job Descriptions:

  • Identify product gap and/or discover new market space, generate new product ideas, formulate holistic new business strategies & propositions with an aim to drive innovation and business impacts, through conducting market research and study, gathering feedback from both internal parties (e.g. Business and Sales Proposition Team, Channel Teams, frontline) and external parties (e.g. market players, reinsurers, consulting firms), performing feasibility assessments, converting insights into practical and customer-centric solutions for other functional teams to take action.
  • Support strategic and ad hoc projects, including regulatory industry consultation and channel initiatives, by assessing business/ financial impacts and formulating recommendations for PHKL management.
  • Deliver high-quality business/financial analyses for management decision-making, prepare presentation materials for management updates, present to senior stakeholders

Job Requirements:

  • University graduate majoring in business, insurance or related curriculum
  • At least 7 years of business development working experience related to local HK insurance with minimum 2 years at supervisory level
  • With product / channel management experience is preferred
  • Strong business and financial acumen with proven analytic and problem-solving capabilities
  • Effective communication and presentation skills, with proficiency in spoken and written English and Chinese
  • Solid understanding of Hong Kong life insurance products and market dynamics; frontline exposure is an advantage
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities and to collaborate effectively across functions
  • Strategic and innovative mindset with the ability to think-out-of-the-box and challenge status quo
  • Proactive and results driven mindset with focus on driving business growth
