Job Brief

The Senior Business Analyst enables the Banking Group Portfolio Management (BGPM) leadership team to operate more effectively through management of the day-to-day tactics that lead to strategy execution.  This role focuses on supporting BGPM initiatives by collaborating with business stakeholders and partners to deliver strategic solutions. The Senior Business Analyst is also responsible for analyzing business processes and recommending improvements that align with organizational goals. The Senior Business Analyst provides thought leadership, mentors junior analysts as appropriate, and ensures successful execution of projects through stakeholder engagement, and solution design.

Job Responsibilities

  • Works with the Optimization team on data related to reporting
  • Utilizes data and relevant materials to develop and maintain analysis to inform decisions; automates processes where feasible
  • Supports efforts of CWA Replacement and other strategic projects
  • Holds leaders accountable for commitments, assists in removing tactical roadblocks that stall progress, tracks key initiatives and ensures they move forward
  • Leads meeting preparation (e.g. agendas, pre-reads) and follow-up communications, navigating the organization as appropriate to support the advancement of strategic initiatives
  • Assists in building content for Town Halls, strategic sessions, regulatory meetings
  • Assists in ensuring BGPM online content is current, crisp and actively managed
  • Analyzes, identifies, and recommends solutions to moderately complex problems
  • Regularly collaborates with internal and external (to BGPM) partners
  • Perform other duties as assigned; duties, responsibilities and/or activities may change, or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
  • OR equivalent experience (required)


Work Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in business analysis or related field. (required)


Skills

  • Proficient in MS Excel /PPT
  • Exposure to data integration, visualization, and data mining techniques
  • Strong project management skills
  • Building business knowledge/experience with AI tools and prompting
  • Knowledge of source systems
  • Ability to learn the process of consuming data from the data supply chain
  • Develop and maintain recurring performance dashboards and reports
  • Capacity to automate reports
  • Intermediate knowledge of CRM platforms
  • Intermediate knowledge of regulatory processes
  • Understands business partner strategy and the business of banking at a high level
  • Asks the right questions
  • Understands upstream and downstream impacts

Preferred Qualifications

  • Commercial lending or ability to understand commercial lending
  • Demonstrates the ability to thrive in ambiguous, unstructured environments with evolving priorities while driving clarity and progress and having strong ability to bring structure to complex situations.
  • Demonstrates strong initiative and ownership/accountability, with the ability to achieve and drive results.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner cross‑functionally across the organization to achieve shared outcomes.
  • Ability to pull together complex concepts, synthesize them strategically, and communicate them with clarity to drive alignment and understanding.

Physical Demands

  • General Office - Prolonged sitting, ability to communicate face to face in person or on the phone with teammates and clients, frequent use of PC/laptop, occasional lifting/pushing/pulling of backpacks, computer bags up to 10 lbs.


Travel

  • Occasional travel to include overnight stay.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $71,000.00 - $125,000.00 annually. Placement within the pay range may differ based upon various factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and geographic location. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for incentive compensation which may include production, commission, and/or discretionary incentives.
