Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Senior Associate / Manager – IBU Strategic Sourcing. This role is crucial in optimizing our sourcing strategies and ensuring the efficient procurement of goods and services within our International Business Unit (IBU) to drive value and support our global operations. The position involves working closely with both internal Lilly stakeholders around the world and external partners to identify opportunities, develop category strategies, and introduce innovative approaches to supplier selection. In addition, you'll manage current supplier relationships to ensure Lilly gets the maximum value from its spending. The successful applicant will join the Strategic Sourcing procurement team at GBS in Cork, Ireland
Job Responsibilities:
* Develop, implement, and manage strategic sourcing initiatives across various categories within the International Business Unit, focusing on quality improvement, and supply chain optimization.
* Lead the end-to-end sourcing process, including market analysis, supplier identification, RFP development, negotiation of contracts, and supplier relationship management.
* Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders across different functions to understand their sourcing needs and align strategies with business objectives.
* Conduct detailed spend analysis and market research to identify new sourcing opportunities, assess supplier capabilities.
* Negotiate complex contracts and service level agreements with suppliers.
* Monitor supplier performance, manage key performance indicators (KPIs), and drive continuous improvement initiatives with strategic suppliers.
* Contribute to the development and implementation of global sourcing policies, procedures, and best practices.
* Identify and implement innovative sourcing solutions and technologies to enhance procurement efficiency and effectiveness.
Job Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) is an advantage.
* Progressive experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably within the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry.
* Proven track record of successfully leading complex sourcing projects and achieving significant cost savings and value creation.
* Strong negotiation skills with experience in drafting and managing complex contracts.
* Excellent analytical abilities, with proficiency in spend analysis, market research, and financial modeling.
* Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
* Exceptional communication (written and verbal), presentation, and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in procurement software (e.g., SAP Ariba, Oracle).
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, global environment.
* Strong understanding of international business practices, regulatory requirements.
