The Opportunity
This Senior Administrative Business Partner will support the Solid Tumor Marketing Team. This role consists of providing support to the two Senior Marketing Directors and other directors on the team, timely and compliant delivery of contracts, ad hoc projects, and contributes to the advancement of business priorities. This individual will also work closely with the Solid Tumor Operations and Administration team to coordinate and ensure efficient workflow and communications. The Senior Administrative Business Partner will engage with various stakeholders across the CMG organization, and be a key contributor to the Commercial Portfolio Organization’s (CPO) Operations and Administration Community, fostering collaboration, identifying opportunities for process improvement, and enhancing efficiencies.
Executive and Confidential Stakeholder Management: Manages complex relationships with internal and external partners, often requiring a high level of confidentiality.
Comprehensive Meeting and Event Planning: Independently leads the end-to-end planning and execution of complex, large-scale events, including department meetings, offsites (involving travel/multiple locations), and internal meetings requiring sophisticated technology (like webcasting).
Administrative Systems and Logistics Expert: Highly proficient in Google Suite and Genentech IT systems (cSuite, virtual tools), manages complex scheduling across time zones, handles space management/office moves, and processes vendor/speaker contracts and payments.
Communication and Digital Platform Oversight: Drafts official communications, manages and maintains departmental digital platforms (gSites, Currents, newsletters, websites), and assists in meeting material preparation, note-taking, and action item follow-up.
HR and Team Lifecycle Support: Manages the full candidate/interview process logistics, coordinates new hire onboarding, organizes team building/training events, and autonomously maintains department org charts.
Who You Are
5+ years of relative administrative, operations or project management experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience
Experience providing autonomous, high-level support to senior management, prioritizing and executing tasks independently while exercising strong judgment with confidential information
Highly collaborative attitude with the ability to initiate and facilitate team development, ensuring effective information sharing across functions for optimal results
Demonstrates exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, and based on experience, makes independent, strategic decisions with minimal need for validation
Possesses in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) and cSuite tools (gMail, gCal, Trello, Jamboard, gMeet, ZOOM).
Preferred
Experience in pharma or healthcare industries
Familiarity with Genentech's processes and workflows
This role is based in South San Francisco and offers a hybrid schedule working 3 days per week in the office.
Relocation benefits are not available for this posting.
The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of South San Francisco, CA is $77,900 - $144,700. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This position is eligible to earn incentive compensation that is calculated and paid in accordance with the applicable Incentive Compensation Plan for the role.
