About the Role
Responsible for managing relationships and communications between AIA and relevant government authorities
Roles and Responsibilities:
Regulatory Engagement
- Maintain strong relationships with regulatory bodies, including the Financial Regulatory Department, Tax Authorities, and other relevant government agencies.
- Provide day-to-day administrative and coordination support to the Government and External Relations function, ensuring smooth regulatory communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- Facilitate communication between internal stakeholders, regulatory bodies, and industry associations.
- Monitor regulatory updates and directives, ensuring timely preparation and submission of accurate reports and required documents to the appropriate regulatory body or industry association.
- Stay updated on regulatory changes, directives, and industry guidelines, and support communication of updates to relevant internal teams.
- Assist in preparing, compiling, and submitting regulatory reports and approval requests.
- Track regulators’ responses, deadlines, and action items, ensuring timely follow-up.
- Maintain organized filing of all communications, letters, and instructions from regulators, associations, and industry bodies for internal reference.
Partnership Engagement
- Assist in maintaining strong relationship with business partners to ensure effective collaboration for AIA Myanmar.
- Identify and acquire new, qualified partners that offer unique value propositions and strengthen AIA Myanmar’s brand presence in the market.
- Assist in ensuring a smooth administration process for all partnerships, including thorough due diligence and KYC checks from onboarding through annual renewals.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to partnership agreements and activities.
- Support and coordinate AIA Myanmar’s events and initiatives in collaboration with partners to drive engagement and enhance brand visibility.
Communication Requirements
Internal & External
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for engaging with regulators, partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to draft clear reports, letters, and regulatory submissions.
- Stakeholder management and negotiation skills for partnerships and regulatory engagement.
- Professional proficiency in English and local language for formal correspondence.
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree
- Experience: Minimum 3 – 5 years of experience in government relations and partnership management.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Myanmar; ability to engage effectively with regulators, partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with regulatory reporting processes and documentation standards.
- Knowledge: Understanding of local regulatory frameworks, government processes, and industry guidelines
- Analytical Skills: Proficiency in analyzing regulatory trends and directives, translating findings into clear guidance for internal stakeholders.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building capabilities.
- Collaborative Mindset: Builds trust and fosters respectful relationships across internal and external stakeholders.
