About the Role

Responsible for executing day‑to‑day treasury operations—including fund transfers, cash forecasting, liquidity management, and bank account administration—with accuracy and in adherence to AIA’s treasury policies and guidelines. The role also supports the maintenance of strong relationships with banking partners and provides operational assistance to the Finance Operations Manager to ensure smooth and efficient financial processes.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Execute daily payment execution and periodic placements of financial instruments such as time deposits by obtaining iBanking approvals, processing, cash/ cheque/e‑payments and notifying relevant departments in timely manner.
  • Manage daily cash and bank balances, ensuring proactive cash positioning (eg. maintaining minimum operating balances and timely replenishment of key accounts while complying with BU cash management and bank account administration policies).
  • Perform weekly bank open‑item clearing and post bank‑related journals (charges, interest, advance clearings) and ensure timely resolution of outstanding items.
  • Conduct month-end closing activities according to AIA’s treasury policy and risk management guidelines (eg. monthly cash count, reconciliation, AML and management reports etc.).
  • Oversee bank account maintenance (eg. Authorizers' updates, new bank account opens etc.) and act as the primary liaison with bank relationship managers.
  • Handle enquires from auditors and provides the audit required documents within target timeframe to ensure audit closure on time.
  • Collaborate with Group Office and Shared Services team to deliver tasks on time, and support cross‑functional teams’ payment queries, card issues and invoice discrepancies.  
  • Assist the Manager in liquidity management through cash‑flow forecasting and support treasury initiatives, including cash‑management improvements, automation, and finance‑transformation projects
  • Performed duties periodically assigned by superior in order to meet operational and/or other requirements.

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting/banking/finance or related area.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience, preferably in treasury, finance operations, or corporate finance.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy and commitment to deadline.
  • Strong analytical and judgmental skills with the ability to interpret financial data.
  • Organizing and prioritizing and ability to balance the multi-tasks in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
  • Strong initiative to follow up on outstanding issues, identify what needs to be done and act accordingly.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and build strong relationships with colleagues and external contacts
  • ERP/SAP knowledge, and familiar with high technical working environment.
  • In-dept knowledge of spreadsheet and advance excel.
  • Familiar with large volume of data handling would be advantaged.
