The Kraft Heinz Company is currently seeking a Seamer Mechanic associate to work in our tomato paste, pizza sauce, salsa, peeled pear canned tomatoes, crushed tomatoes, tomato puree, and tomato sauce production area in Escalon, CA.  Ideal candidates must be safety and quality driven. Candidates must be able to work in a team in a fast paced work environment.

• Holidays- 10 Company Paid Holidays/year subject to certain requirements
• Hourly Wage Rate: $40.00 (will increase to $41.00 on 07/01/2026 per CBA language)

Work Schedule:

• Off Season schedule: 6:00AM - 2:30PM. Harvest Season schedule (July - October): 10:00PM - 6:30AM

Job Overview:

As a General Mechanic you’ll see first-hand how our tomatoes go from farm to table. You’ll be a front of the line employee who will contribute to our continuous growth.

Responsibilities & Duties:

May include, but isn’t limited to:

Full responsibility under the Manager, supervisor, or lead mechanic for efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of all seamers, capping machines, etc

• Adjust and set seamers and fillers to giver proper closure
• Test seams by cutting - inspection and micrometer
• Make or direct all running repairs
• Order or list parts and install as required
• Supervise changes of dies and inkjet coder in printing stamps
• In off season, dismantle and overhaul seamers and fillers
• Supervise changes of type in dies and codes for stamping code on lids and adjust dies and coder
• Instruct seamer operators as to correct stamps to use
• Direct oilers
• May supervise seamer mechanics and/or operators
• May inspect cans
• May do or be in charge of mechanical work in Cookroom
