Your Role: RtR Manager – GA
As RtR Manager – GA, you will oversee all accounting activities performed by the RTR Team for the EMEA region to ensure consistent, accurate and efficient delivery of US GAAP Financial Statements validated through regular internal and external audits. In addition, this role will require day-to-day management of general accounting, providing substantive guidance to the Team Members, performance of SOx controls, coordination and interaction with EMEA Local Teams, supporting recruitment and retention of employees and leading process improvement activities. Person on that position requires strong technical accounting expertise, proven leadership skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Your Responsibilities:
- Leadership
- Supervises, mentors, and develops a team of +10 employees (e.g., Analysts, Senior Analysts, Consultants), conducting performance reviews, providing constructive feedback, and supporting career development plans.
- Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of accounting professionals, ensuring their skills are effectively utilized and that they meet performance.
- Manage team hiring, development, and transitions while fostering collaboration across the business.
- Fostering a collaborative and positive team culture that promotes accountability, open communication, and continuous.
- Process Expertise and Business Partnership
- Provide thorough ownership for all aspects of the Financial Statements (US GAAP) through robust governance and accountability for journal voucher reviews, trial balance reviews and account reconciliation reviews.
- Oversees all accounting activities performed by the RTR Team for their assigned region or area, ensuring consistent, accurate, and efficient delivery of US GAAP Financial Statements.
- Drive the month-end/year-end closing procedures for EMEA region.
- Ensure process and policies are being followed by performing routine reviews and assigned SOx controls.
- Acts as the primary point of escalation for complex RTR issues, ensuring timely resolution, correct handling, and efficient guidance.
- Act as subject matter expert on complex accounting treatments in accordance with policy/procedures.
- Drive for results and ensure best practices are in place to achieve highest standards within daily operations.
- Influence and coordinate the integration of local, regional and corporate initiatives within EMEA team.
- Ensures continuous and consistent service delivery for RTR activities, including the development and implementation of efficient back-up plans.
- Manages workload distribution and resource allocation within the team to ensure adequate staffing and optimal performance for all RTR activities.
- Process Governance:
- Ensure adequate process documentation and training materials are developed and maintained, and provide user education and training.
- Demonstrates a strong continuous improvement oriented mindset. Proactively identifies and drives opportunities for process improvements and automation within the RTR function.
- Collaborates closely with other Managers and finance leaders on team performance, operational challenges, and strategic objectives.
- Monitors and reports end-to-end process metrics and KPIs to measure service levels, operational effectiveness, process health, and process compliance.
- Leads or participates in initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency, accuracy, and control of financial processes.
- Controls:
- Demonstrate a strong compliance oriented mindset & help to build a compliance oriented culture.
- Awareness of all applicable financial standards, process documentation & training materials to ensure the team operates in a fully compliant manner.
- Ensure ownership for all applicable SOx & Operational controls as well as broader oversight for all controls that influence the Financial Statements.
- Engage with External/Internal Audits to ensure full ownership and excellence in all Group/Statutory/Internal/Regulatory audits.
What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):
- Master’s Degree or equivalent Degree in Finance or Accounting
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in a shared services environment
- Minimum 3 years of management and people development experience held in RTR
- Proven process & control orientation based on prior operational business roles within RTR
- Ability to efficiently prioritize tasks in fast-changing environment
- Ability to effectively manage workload within large-scope region (+30 active company codes)
- Proven analytical, problem solving, and communication skills
- Ability to influence and lead change effectively through partnership & business acumen
- Ability to manage and lead diverse team to high performance and career development
- Ability to work in local/regional/global team environment and communicate effectively with both internal business partners of all levels & disciplines as well as external stakeholders such as auditors
- Experience with SAP
- Fluency in English language
- What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications):
- CPA, CIMA, ACCA, Chartered Accountant or equivalent
- Experience with OneStream (nice to have)
