Better and fairer care. Always.
St Vincent's has been a leader in Australia's health and aged care landscape for more than 165 years. Since our founders, the Sisters of Charity, opened our first hospital in 1857, our services and nearly 30,000 people have been behind some of Australia's most important medical breakthroughs. We are a microcosm of Australia’s health and aged care system and are uniquely positioned to lead and respond to our rapidly changing environment.
We are looking for a special kind of person - a St Vincent’s kind of person. Someone who puts excellence, compassion, connection and caring for other people at the heart of everything they do.
We have an exciting permanent full time opportunity for a Risk Specialist based at St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne (SVHM) – Fitzroy Campus. Facilitate Dynamic Risk Workshops: Proactively support senior executives and managers by conducting risk workshops to identify, assess, and strengthen controls, ensuring risk practices are embedded into daily business practices.
Manage Risk Reporting and Technology: Champion the use of RiskMan within SVHM to manage risks and controls. You will be responsible for preparing crucial risk reports for the SVHM Audit and Risk Committee and the SVHA Board.
Develop and Deliver Risk Education: Design and lead risk education and training programs to assist in increasing the organisation's overall risk maturity.
Coordinate Audit and Compliance: Act as a critical liaison by coordinating and supporting internal and external audit responses in conjunction with the Group Manager, Audit and Compliance and support the legislative compliance program.
Drive Solution-Focused Improvement: Apply critical thinking and problem-solving techniques to various challenges, contributing to the continuous improvement of risk system capabilities and operational processes.
