About the Role
The Patient Services Clerk is accountable for providing clerical support and facilitating patient management within Clinical Neurosciences. The PSC will be involved in booking appointments, reception duties, delivering customer service of a high standard and providing high level administration assistance to the Neurosciences Consulting Rooms.
Greet all patients in a polite and efficient manner
Collect referral letters and test results and ensure these are available for doctors when they see the patient.
Maintain patient files and ensure patient confidentiality
Classifications for this position - HS2
Your Contribution
Minimum of Year 12 HSC / VCE or equivalent
Minimum 2 years’ experience as a PSC or equivalent in a health service
Ability to work in a fast-paced department
Demonstrated high level communication skills, written and verbal
Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
• Current National criminal history check, or willing to obtain.

Clinical Neurosciences is a multidisciplinary unit dedicated to improving the understanding and treatment of neurological disorders. The unit provides a complete clinical and diagnostic service and maintains a strong research focus; principally centred on epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, motor neurone disease and movement disorders.
