Risk Data & Analytics Consultant

Supporting the Risk and Compliance function, the role will develop tools and techniques to analyse multiple datasets, generating insights and enabling action.

The role plays a key part in supporting embedding and further optimisation of the ServiceNow platform, identifying new reporting opportunities on the platform, delivering stakeholder requests and maturing integration of ServiceNow risk  data into an established PowerBI environment.

Working with colleagues across the business, the role will use structured and unstructured data sources to build, maintain and modernise risk data pipelines, risk analytics solutions and risk visualisation tools used across the firm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the maintenance, improvement and automation of existing risk datasets and reporting processes.
  • Identify, scope and develop new risk reporting and analytics opportunities within ServiceNow
  • Manage and enhance dataflows that combine data from legacy (Shield) and new (ServiceNow) risk systems, ensuring accuracy, completeness and reliability.
  • Support the migration of existing dataflows and pipelines to modern platforms, including Microsoft Fabric or Snowflake, in alignment with the Group’s Unified Data Platform project.
  • Draw on recognised statistical techniques and data management tools to support development and delivery of new analytics to inform risk analysis and insight.
  • Further develop and maintain the Risk & Compliance PowerBI environment
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop repositories and datasets enabling new risk and control metrics.
  • Be fully conversant in general purpose AI tools (ChatGPT, M365, Claude) and support the exploration and adoption of AI‑driven opportunities to improve operational efficiency, risk insights and automation within the Risk & Compliance function.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and support continuous improvement of reporting processes.
  • Provide clear and useful (verbal and written) explanations of tools, techniques and data to a wide range of stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Relevant discipline, e.g. computer science, engineering, business, or analytical subjects.
  • 4-5years of experience working in data analytics within an organisation with extensive data needs and opportunities.
  • Experience using one or more of SQL, R, Python, SAS, Snowflake.
  • Experience working with ServiceNow or other enterprise workflow platforms (desirable).
  • Experience in building, maintaining or modernising data warehouses or analytics platforms (e.g., Fabric, Snowflake).
  • Exposure to Power BI, Power Query or other BI technology.
  • Conversant in general purpose AI tools such as ChatGPT, M365 CoPilot, Claude or other technology
  • Interest or experience in applying AI/ML techniques to improve operational processes or reporting.
  • Curiosity and enthusiasm for deriving insights from data.
  • Strong problem‑solving, analytical and decision‑making skills.
  • Effective communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with large datasets, data manipulation, data cleansing and data quality assurance.
  • Strong focus on quality, completeness and accuracy of reporting data
  • Flexible in terms of working hours.
