The Alibaba-NTU Global e-Sustainability CorpLab (ANGEL) represents a key collaboration between Alibaba Group and Nanyang Technological University (NTU). Supported by the Singapore RIE2025 Fund, ANGEL creates and deploys impactful green digital technologies for global sustainability.

We are looking for a Research Scientist to design and develop an advanced multi-source knowledge fusion framework that leverages Large Language Models (LLMs) and other AI techniques. The role will focus on constructing, merging, and maintaining domain-specific knowledge graphs to harmonize heterogeneous data, specifically applying these technologies to support research and decision-making on critical environmental issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Principal Investigator (PI) and an interdisciplinary research team to support projects such as the Senior Gamification Study and the Frailty and Longevity Study.

  • Conduct user research with senior populations, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing.

  • Support the design, development, and evaluation of gamification elements, including digital adoption strategies and potential integration of AI-driven personalization.

  • Analyze behavioral, engagement, and health-related outcomes across research projects.

  • Contribute to academic writing, publications, and dissemination efforts across multiple projects.

  • Provide guidance and editorial support for PhD theses, journal articles, conference submissions, and technical reports to ensure clarity, coherence, and high academic standards.

  • Review and refine research outputs to ensure quality, consistency, and alignment with publication requirements.

  • Develop and deliver training programmes and workshops on academic writing, technical communication, and professional presentation skills for researchers and students.

  • Support the preparation of grant proposals, project documentation, and research reports for academic, industry, and funding stakeholders.

  • Contribute to the development of best practices, guidelines, and resources to enhance research communication and publication quality within the team.

  • Facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration by ensuring clear communication of technical concepts across diverse research and stakeholder groups, where relevant.

Job Requirements:

  • PhD degree in English, Communication, Education, or a related discipline, with substantial experience supporting academic or technical research environments (e.g., engineering, IT, or science domains).

  • Experience in user research, behavioral studies, or experimental design

  • Proven ability to design, lead, and deliver advanced training programmes and workshops in academic writing, technical communication, and research dissemination for diverse audiences, including senior researchers.

  • Deep familiarity with international academic publishing standards, peer-review processes, and research funding requirements, with the ability to guide researchers strategically through the publication lifecycle.

  • Strong capability to translate complex, interdisciplinary research into clear, compelling narratives tailored to academic, industry, and policy stakeholders.

  • Strong communication and analytical skills
