Regional HR Business Partner - Americas & Programs

Role Summary

The Regional HR Business Partner (HRBP) supports both strategic and operational HR initiatives, partnering closely with business leaders and strategic HR teams. This role manages complex employee relations, enhances employee engagement, and provides tactical support to regional HR projects. In addition, this role owns and delivers critical HR programs requiring high attention to compliance, reporting accuracy, and cross-functional partnership (e.g., audit support, government reporting, immigration, mobility, and training enablement). The HRBP leverages HR technology to streamline processes and improve service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Employee Relations & Legal Compliance

  • Provide regional guidance on employee relations issues, including disciplinary, grievance, absence, and performance management.

  • Manage HR investigations, coordinating with legal and functional HRBPs as necessary.

  • Ensure HR policies and practices comply with US and Canada employment law.

  • Act as a trusted advisor, providing timely resolution to employment matters.

HR Operational Excellence & Service Delivery

  • Support key HR processes such as onboarding, offboarding, benefits enrollment, leaves of absence, and HRIS data management.

  • Collaborate with HR Operations teams and Centres of Excellence for effective service delivery.

  • Identify and support process improvements, leveraging technology and AI solutions.

  • Act as a point of escalation for any inquiries that can not be solved through HR Shared Services.

Programs Ownership (Americas & Global)

  • Own and maintain U.S. and Canada employee handbooks, including updates, annual refreshes, and policy governance.

  • Manage global immigration support for visa-holding employees, including tracking timelines, coordinating documentation, and partnering with external immigration counsel and internal stakeholders.

  • Support employee relocations and mobility activities, ensuring a compliant and consistent employee experience.

  • Provide HR support for audit and compliance requests (e.g., SOX, SOC 2, and related evidence/data requirements).

  • Coordinate U.S. and Canada government reporting, including country-specific and state/province-specific filings (e.g., U.S. EEO-1, California Pay Data Reporting, and other regulatory reporting as required).

  • Support RFP responses requiring HR/workforce data, partnering with HR Operations, People Analytics, and business stakeholders.

  • Manage Workday Learning and training setup, including course creation, assignments, tracking, and reporting for required training programs.

Strategic Collaboration & Regional Projects

  • Support strategic HRBPs and regional leadership by providing tactical insights and operational execution.

  • Participate in regional HR projects including engagement surveys, performance reviews, and compensation processes.

  • Assist in cross-functional HR transformation projects ensuring regional needs are met.

Employee Engagement & Experience

  • Work with Talent Acquisition to ensure effective onboarding.

  • Provide coaching and guidance to employees and managers, enhancing capabilities and engagement.

  • Promote a positive, inclusive culture aligned with company values.

Data Analysis & Insights

  • Conduct HR data analysis to identify trends and recommend improvements.

  • Utilize HR analytics and AI tools to support informed decision-making.

Qualifications & Competencies

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.

  • Minimum of 3–5 years HR generalist or HRBP experience in multinational environments.

  • Good understanding of US and Canada employment law.

  • Experience with benefits and leave of absence administration.

  • Experience supporting immigration and/or mobility programs

  • Proficiency in Workday HRIS, Workday Learning, and basic analytics tools; familiarity with AI in HR is a plus.

  • Experience supporting audit/compliance requests (e.g., SOX, SOC 2) and government reporting (e.g., EEO-1, CA Pay Data Reporting) preferred.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to handle sensitive issues confidentially.

  • Capable of balancing operational duties with strategic initiatives and identifying process improvements.

The compensation range reflects the Company’s good faith belief at the time of posting. 8x8 has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. The range above reflects the potential base pay across the U.S. for this role; the applicable base pay range will depend on what ultimately is determined to be the candidate’s primary work location. Further, individual base pay depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience, knowledge, success, education and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including discretionary merit increases, bonus and/or stock. Certain roles have the opportunity to earn sales variable compensation incentives based on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role.

Salary Ranges:

$94,125.00 - $156,875.00
