Position Overview

Co-op/Intern position in the refractory chemical area of the Towanda Plant. Projects primarily support the manufacturing of APT and the processing of hard and soft tungsten carbide (WC) recycled materials. The intern will assist process engineers in continuous improvement efforts related to chemical operations while gaining hands-on manufacturing and process experience. This position also serves as an opportunity to identify and develop outstanding candidates for future employment at GTP.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering; 3rd year and above preferred
  • Enrolled full-time at an accredited college or university with a minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Available to complete a full 3–6 month assignment
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; database experience a plus
  • Demonstrates a strong work ethic and the ability to collaborate within cross-functional teams to deliver project results in a timely manner
