Job Summary: This position is located at the Golf Course, Andersen Air Force Base, Guam. The mission of Joint Region Marianas (JRM) Warfighter & Family Readiness (WFR) is to provide the highest quality programs and services to the military community through self-sustainment across all quality of life programs.

Major Duties:

  • Major duties and responsibilities are summarized below. The purpose of this position is to perform a variety of recreational, clerical, administrative, and customer service duties in support of daily golf operations, including pro shop activities, resale inventory, facility support, and special events. Performs a variety of duties in support of the successful daily operations of the MWR Golf Program, including customer check-in and check-out of tee times, coordinating cart rentals, assisting with golf events and tournaments, and supporting pro shop operations in accordance with established golf program policies and procedures. Provides customer service, information, and support by greeting patrons, verifying eligibility, answering inquiries, and providing information regarding golf services, fees, safety procedures, and scheduled activities. Collects fees from customers associated with sales, rentals, and services using Point of Sale (POS) systems and computer programs. Assists with opening and closing the golf shop. Performs clerical and administrative support duties. Assists with ordering, receiving, stocking, and inventorying resale merchandise, rental equipment, supplies, and assets. Performs basic cleaning and housekeeping duties to maintain a clean, safe, and orderly golf shop, cart staging area, and associated workspaces. Assists with golf-related events, leagues, tournaments, and base-wide or special events, including setup, breakdown, and participant coordination. Briefs customers on applicable safety rules, procedures, and proper use of golf equipment and facilities. Adheres to and carries out all applicable Department of Defense (DoD), Navy, Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC), and MWR program policies, procedures, regulations, and safety standards. Knowledge of basic cash handling, resale inventory, and recordkeeping procedures. Knowledge of general office procedures and use of office equipment. Skill in the use of Point of Sale (POS) systems and basic computer applications such as word processing, spreadsheets, email, and internet-based systems. Ability to follow written and oral instructions and apply established procedures. Ability to communicate effectively with customers, coworkers, and supervisors. Ability to work independently on routine assignments and as a member of a team.
