We are offering a 4-month summer work term (May 2026 – August 2026) to post-secondary students at Algonquin College pursuing a diploma in Radiation Safety. This is your chance to contribute meaningfully while developing expertise in radiological protection, performance assessment, and innovative safety practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in gathering radiological survey data

• Involvement with reporting and trending radiological survey results 

• Participation in assessment of performance

• Identify gaps in performance and actions to close the gaps

• support to radiological field units 

• participation in training and pilot training programs 

Skills and Knowledge:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Strong organizational and planning abilities

• Strong computer skills

• Good analytical skills

• Demonstrates strong learning agility

• Dependable and self-motivated

• Ability to work cooperatively and effectively in a team

• A strong understanding of safety in the workplace

Education and Experience:

• Currently enrolled in the following diploma program:

  • Algonquin College Radiation Safety

• Must be enrolled in a full-time post-secondary program

• Must have completed a minimum of one year post-secondary studies

• Must be returning full-time immediately following the work term to post-secondary studies or require a co-op term to graduate
