We are offering a 4-month summer work term (May 2026 – August 2026) to post-secondary students at Algonquin College pursuing a diploma in Radiation Safety. This is your chance to contribute meaningfully while developing expertise in radiological protection, performance assessment, and innovative safety practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in gathering radiological survey data
Involvement with reporting and trending radiological survey results
Participation in assessment of performance
Identify gaps in performance and actions to close the gaps
support to radiological field units
participation in training and pilot training programs
Skills and Knowledge:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational and planning abilities
Strong computer skills
Good analytical skills
Demonstrates strong learning agility
Dependable and self-motivated
Ability to work cooperatively and effectively in a team
A strong understanding of safety in the workplace
Education and Experience:
Currently enrolled in the following diploma program:
Algonquin College Radiation Safety
Must be enrolled in a full-time post-secondary program
Must have completed a minimum of one year post-secondary studies
Must be returning full-time immediately following the work term to post-secondary studies or require a co-op term to graduate
