Job Title: Quality Technician

Job Summary

The Quality Technician at Jabil, Inc. plays a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality standards are met throughout the manufacturing process. This position involves performing inspections, conducting tests, and maintaining documentation to guarantee product integrity and compliance with specifications.

Job Responsibilities

* Perform visual and dimensional inspections of incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products according to established procedures and specifications.
* Conduct various quality tests using a range of measurement equipment, including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and optical comparators.
* Document inspection results and test data accurately and thoroughly in quality records, databases, and reporting systems.
* Identify, isolate, and report non-conforming materials or products, initiating appropriate corrective action requests (CARs) when necessary.
* Assist in the investigation of root causes for quality issues and contribute to the development and implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
* Collaborate with production, engineering, and other departments to ensure quality requirements are understood and consistently applied.
* Maintain and calibrate inspection and test equipment according to established schedules and procedures.
* Participate in internal and external quality audits, providing necessary documentation and support.
* Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, promoting a safe working environment.
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting enhancements to quality processes and procedures.

Job Qualifications

* High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in a technical field (e.g., Quality Assurance, Manufacturing Technology) preferred.
* 1-3 years of experience in a quality control or quality assurance role within a manufacturing environment.
* Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
* Demonstrated ability to use various measurement tools and equipment accurately.
* Strong attention to detail and excellent observational skills.
* Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and relevant quality tools (e.g., 5S, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma) is a plus.
* Basic computer proficiency, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of staff.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
* Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving quality issues.

1. Perform first article inspection and review visual aids.
2. Good communication and teamwork abilities.
3. Perform MRB on sustained products.
4. Perform internal audit and monitor for compliance.
5. Assist Quality Engineering in product life cycle management (PLCM)
6. Experience in SMT and HLA Process.
