Job Description:

Parsons are seeking a highly skilled Quality Specialist – Electrical to ensure the highest standards of quality and compliance for electrical systems in a large-scale airfield/airport development project.

This role requires expertise in inspection, testing, and quality assurance processes for aviation electrical infrastructure, including power distribution, lighting, navigational aids, and safety-critical systems.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in electrical quality assurance in infrastructure or airport projects. The Quality Specialist will ensure all electrical works meet design specifications, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Develop, implement, and enforce electrical quality control procedures and inspection plans.
  • Monitor and verify compliance with project specifications, codes, standards, and client requirements.
  • Conduct site inspections and testing of electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, communication, and navigational aids.
  • Prepare detailed inspection reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and corrective action plans.
  • Maintain comprehensive quality records and ensure traceability for all electrical works.
  • Provide weekly and monthly quality status updates to project management and stakeholders.
  • Ensure all electrical works comply with local, national, and international standards relevant to airport infrastructure (e.g., IEC, IEEE, NFPA).
  • Coordinate with design and engineering teams to ensure adherence to specifications.
  • Monitor contractors and subcontractors to ensure quality standards are maintained.
  • Witness, review, and approve electrical testing and commissioning activities.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving quality-related issues during testing and commissioning.
  • Ensure that test results are documented and meet operational and safety requirements.
  • Identify recurring quality issues and recommend corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Support quality improvement initiatives and contribute to lessons learned for future airport projects.
  • Promote a culture of safety, quality, and compliance among project teams.
  • Work closely with project engineers, construction teams, procurement, and safety specialists to ensure alignment of quality objectives.
  • Support audits by client representatives, regulators, and third-party inspection agencies.
  • Coordinate with contractors and suppliers to address quality concerns and implement corrective measures.

What Required Skills You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical quality assurance/inspection on large infrastructure or airport projects.
  • Hands-on experience with electrical systems, aviation infrastructure, or high-voltage installations.
  • Strong understanding of electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Experience with testing, inspection, and commissioning of electrical systems.
  • Excellent documentation, analytical, and reporting skills.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with contractors, engineers, and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and quality management systems (ISO 9001, QA/QC procedures).

What Desired Skills You’ll Bring:

  • Professional certifications in quality management or electrical inspection (e.g., CQA, EIT, IEC).
  • Familiarity with airport systems including runway lighting, airfield power distribution, and navigational aids.
  • Experience with digital quality management tools and reporting software.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, multi-disciplinary project environments.
