We are seeking a strong Quality Engineering Practice Leader to elevate our global QA competency. This role is ideal for a technical expert who thrives on driving excellence, inspiring teams, and impressing clients through mastery of quality engineering. You will be the face of our QA practice—leading by example, shaping strategy, and delivering tangible business value through innovation and best-in-class execution. As a Quality Engineering Practice Leader (Competency Leader), your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a distributed community of QA engineers and leads, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, technical excellence, and collaboration.

  • Serve as the primary client-facing expert for quality engineering—conducting impactful workshops, showcasing our capabilities, and building trusted relationships with clients and global QA leaders.

  • Assess, design, and implement quality engineering strategies that systematically improve processes, tools, and outcomes across diverse projects and geographies.

  • Drive the adoption of cutting-edge technologies, with a strong focus on leveraging GenAI/AI/ML in testing, automation, and software development.

  • Oversee and guide the implementation of robust CI/CD pipelines, performance/load testing, and infrastructure for scalable, reliable testing (including containerization and Kubernetes).

  • Remain hands-on and technically credible—able to dive into code, review automation frameworks, and demonstrate best practices in test design, coding standards, and architecture.

  • Define and execute comprehensive test strategies, including automation, performance, security, and exploratory testing, tailored to complex, multi-team environments.

  • Deliver clear, actionable reporting and insights to stakeholders at all levels, ensuring transparency, accountability, and measurable progress.

  • Build and nurture a vibrant internal QA community—curating knowledge, driving engagement, and championing innovative topics and practices.

  • Collaborate with business development teams to win new work by demonstrating technical mastery and the business impact of quality engineering.

Requirements of the role

  • 8+ years in quality engineering, with proven leadership of large, distributed teams and complex, multi-client environments.

  • Deep expertise in test automation, CI/CD, performance testing, and modern QA tooling (including cloud, containers, and infrastructure-as-code).

  • Strong coding background (comfortable with at least one major language; able to review and write code, understand design patterns, and enforce best practices).

  • Demonstrated success in client-facing roles—able to run workshops, present technical topics, and build lasting relationships.

  • Strategic thinker with a track record of driving systematic improvements and scaling QA practices.

  • Passionate about AI/ML and its application in quality engineering; up-to-date with the latest trends and able to lead adoption.

  • Experience with global delivery models, including managing internal teams, contractors, and cross-functional stakeholders across multiple geographies.

  • Excellent communication, reporting, and stakeholder management skills.

  • High energy, hands-on, and results-driven—able to get things done and inspire others to do the same.
