The ACRF Australian Centre of Excellence in Melanoma Imaging and Diagnosis (ACEMID) is a multi-state, multi-centre initiative spanning hospitals and health services across Australia, working to reduce the burden of melanoma through innovative imaging, research and clinical collaboration.
We are seeking a highly organised and collaborative QLD Manager to oversee research management across Queensland, supporting project delivery, partner engagement and operational coordination for our 5 QLD sites. This role will work closely with the NSW and VIC Managers and the broader ACEMID team to ensure seamless national delivery.
The QLD Manager will lead key research operations across multiple sites, support the ACEMID Executive, and play a critical role in ensuring compliance, governance and high-quality research practice.
Key responsibilities will include:
Oversee research management for ACEMID in Queensland across multiple sites.
Lead ethics and governance submissions and manage approval processes.
Prepare protocols, SOPs, reports and grant applications.
Support the ACEMID Executive and broader team with operational and strategic activities.
Monitor project progress, ensure milestones are met and report on research activities to stakeholders.
Ensure research compliance with ICH GCP, the National Statement, and relevant legislation.
Represent and advocate for the Centre on committees and in key forums.
Train new staff and lead a small team of research and operations staff.
Maintain strong and effective relationships with research participants, internal and external partners.

Salary packaging options
Postgraduate qualifications in public health, health or health sciences, or a related field.
Experience in research project management across clinical or academic environments.
Experience creating and managing research databases (including REDCap).
Demonstrated experience preparing ethics and governance submissions.
Strong organisational and time-management skills.
Excellent communication and writing skills, including communicating with research participants.
Ability to work collaboratively across multiple universities, hospitals and sites.
Undertake occasional travel to sites or research meetings as required.
