What’s the role
Asset Digital Core (ADC) is Shell’s transformation program built on SAP S/4HANA, designed to replace legacy systems with standardized, market-leading processes and data models across operated assets. This initiative supports Shell’s Powering Progress strategy by enabling Integrated Gas and Upstream (IGU) to improve insights, optimize performance, and manage diverse value chains effectively. ADC aims to deliver a unified global design while ensuring compliance with local requirements, minimizing operational disruptions, and achieving sustainable adoption of new ways of working.
The Local IT Project Manager plays a critical role in bridging global standards with local needs, particularly for QGC deployment. Responsibilities include managing legal and regulatory localizations, integrating connected applications, and addressing exceptional business processes. The role demands close collaboration with global ADC teams and local business leads, proactive risk management, and strong stakeholder engagement to ensure a smooth go-live. Success hinges on tailoring the global template to QGC’s operational landscape while maintaining continuity and realizing the intended business value of the S/4HANA implementation.
Note: This role is for a fixed term, concluding 31 March 2028.
What you’ll be doing
You will work with the local deploy leads and local business to:
Conduct local IT infrastructure assessments, including printers, network bandwidth, and mobility requirements.
Identify all local connected applications that need integration with the global ADC system.
Document local legal and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance.
Collaborate with global design teams to capture local business processes supporting the asset.
Work with global development teams to design and build fiscal and other localizations.
Lead and coordinate testing efforts for all localizations included in the global design.
Support data cleanup, extraction, and validation in partnership with ADC Data Conversion and local business leads.
Develop and execute a robust cutover plan, assisting global teams during cutover activities.
Provide hypercare support post-go-live to ensure smooth transition and adoption.
Manage scope, budget, and benefits rigorously through Shell’s project methodology, ensuring alignment with global ADC objectives.

Stakeholder Engagement: Strong relationship-building and influencing skills across all organizational levels, including mid to senior management; apply structured change measurement, and ensure alignment with global program objectives to deliver measurable business benefits.

Results-Oriented: Focused on delivering business value, balancing efficiency with risk mitigation, cost, and quality.
