Major Duties:

  • You will develop, implement and oversees Conventional Prompt Strike (CPS) System Engineering processes and plans, and ensure compliance with relevant policies and regulations.
  • You will lead relate engineering Working Group/TIMs which serves as a forum to have focused discussions on open design issues.
  • You will establish planning and schedule milestones, such as incremental reviews of data, assessment of readiness to proceed to the next design milestone in coordination with external stakeholders on platform requirements.
  • You will coordinate and track CPS requirements artifacts and progression to navy fielding.
  • You will lead various IPTs, working groups, and review board meetings, to collect information in support of CPS incremental development.
  • You will coordinate across CPS branches and with platform and platform combat system offices to achieve optimal design solutions within performance, cost and schedule constraints.
  • You will represent SSP/SPC in assigned areas of responsibility when interfacing with field activities, fleet representatives, contractors, and consultants to resolve complex and/or controversial issues.

Qualifications: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or NH-03 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: planning and executing a comprehensive evaluation system (ex. proposed costs, program development, and performance) for missile/weapon system development, test programs and assembly operations. You will use system engineering methods and techniques for the near-term design decisions and long-term sustainment and operation of weapon system.
