Role Overview

As a QA Engineer at TM2, you will ensure the integrity, performance, and reliability of terminal automation and IT systems. You will design, execute, and maintain complex testing and emulation environments covering the full Operational Technology landscape from equipment-level automation to application-level business processes. This role demands deep technical competence, strong ownership, and the ability to deliver under operational pressure in a live terminal environment.

Key Responsibilities

Testing & Validation
  • Design, configure, and maintain testing and emulation environments replicating real terminal operations.
  • Execute end-to-end test procedures on standalone and integrated automation systems, including cranes, gates, and yard equipment.
  • Conduct system-level validation across the OT stack: from equipment control logic to business process automation in the application layer.
  • Ensure all testing activities strictly follow QA processes, safety standards, and operational protocols.
  • Validate that automation, control, and IT systems meet both functional and operational requirements prior to production.
  • Run complex simulations in collaboration with Automation, M&R, IT, and Operations teams to ensure readiness for production rollout.
Defect Management & Documentation
  • Lead defect identification, logging, tracking, and closure throughout the QA lifecycle.
  • Produce high-quality documentation of test cases, execution results, and corrective actions aligned with internal QA standards.
  • Drive root-cause analysis and implement sustainable corrective and preventive actions for systemic issues.
  • Ensure full traceability between test coverage, defect history, and operational outcomes.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Rollout Support
  • Act as QA focal point with Automation, IT, and Operations stakeholders for all testing and go-live activities.
  • Execute stakeholder-requested test scenarios and provide structured, data-driven feedback on operational readiness.
  • Support technical discussions with external vendors and system integrators, ensuring deliverables meet TM2’s quality and reliability standards.
Safety & Compliance
  • Comply with all company safety procedures and immediately report unsafe acts or conditions.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date QA documentation in line with internal quality standards and audit requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

Education
  • Master's degree in computer science, Automation, Software Engineering, or a directly related field.
Experience & Technical Skills
Candidates must demonstrate solid, hands-on experience in all of the following areas:
  • Design and maintenance of testing and emulation environments for integrated automation systems.
  • Automation systems and industrial IT integration, including API/REST/SOA interfaces and event-driven architectures.
  • System and process validation in environments combining software, hardware, and real-time control.
  • Testing methodologies, QA frameworks, and software lifecycle management applied to industrial or automation contexts.
  • Simulation and test automation tools, including configuration and execution of automated test cycles.
  • Technical documentation, test case creation, and structured defect tracking using professional QA tools.
  • Collaboration with suppliers, vendors, and cross-functional teams in large-scale automation projects.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a diverse and technical environment.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with a precise, methodical approach to testing and reporting.

Key Competencies

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills (English proficiency required).
  • Analytical and structured thinking applied to complex technical systems.
  • Proactive commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under operational constraints.
