KONE

Project Manager (Major Projects)

Brisbane Full time
  • Attractive remuneration – base + car allowance + bonus

  • Work with world‑leading vertical transport technology

  • Join a high‑performing team with a culture you’ll want to be part of

At KONE, innovation isn’t a buzzword — it’s the foundation of everything we do. As a global leader in elevators, escalators and smart building solutions, we’re shaping the future of how people move through cities.

Right now, our Major Projects team in Brisbane is growing.

We’re looking for a Project Manager who wants to take ownership of complex, high‑value projects, work with industry‑leading technology, and be part of a close‑knit team that genuinely backs each other.

In this role, you will manage Major Projects across Brisbane and Northern QLD, partnering with Tier 1 clients and many others to deliver exceptional outcomes. You will be part of the New Building Solutions (NBS) team — known for their strong culture, high standards, and commitment to doing things the right way.

Note: While this role focuses on Major Projects, you may occasionally manage projects outside the Major Projects portfolio.

What will you be doing?

  • Leading with safety first, driving a proactive safety culture and ensuring every project meets KONE’s industry‑leading standards

  • Owning the customer experience, building strong relationships and keeping clients and subcontractors aligned, informed, and confident

  • Being the leader people want to follow, motivating your team, clearing obstacles, and creating an environment where high performance is the norm

  • Running the commercial heartbeat of your projects, managing contracts, financials, forecasting, and ensuring strong commercial outcomes

  • Driving improvement and innovation, identifying opportunities to streamline delivery, lift performance, and strengthen the Major Projects function

What are we looking for?

  • Experience managing complex projects in commercial environments

  • Lift industry experience (desired but not essential)

  • A resilient, solutions‑focused and safety conscious mindset

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications (highly desirable)

  • A globally recognised project management certification such as PMP or PRINCE2 (highly desirable)

  • A valid Australian driver’s licence

  • Strong communication and training skills

  • Stakeholder management (internal teams, subcontractors, Tier 1 clients, executive groups) skills

  • Financial management & forecasting ability

If you’re someone who takes ownership, builds trust quickly, and thrives in a team that values performance and culture equally — you’ll fit right in.

What do we offer?

  • Genuine career progression in a global organisation

  • Access to world‑class learning and development programs

  • A supportive, high‑performing team environment

  • A total rewards package designed to recognise and motivate

  • The chance to work with cutting‑edge vertical transport technology on major, high‑visibility projects

Note: Applicants must be a permanent resident or citizen of Australia or New Zealand.
