Your opportunity:

As an MDC Project Manager I for Greenheck Group you will play an important role in the success of low to mid-level next-generation automation projects within the Machine Development Center (MDC) at Greenheck Group. Contribute to the delivery of high-tech robotic and automation systems that transform manufacturing capability, drive efficiency, and scale advanced production technologies across the enterprise. Own the full project lifecycle from planning through execution and close-out. Support the continuous improvement of MDC’s project management framework. As an MDC Project Manager II for Greenheck Group you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of mid- to high-level next-generation automation projects within MDC. Play a key part in delivering high-tech robotic and automation systems that transform manufacturing capability, drive efficiency, and scale advanced production technologies across the enterprise. Own the full project lifecycle from planning through execution and close-out. In addition to project execution, contribute to the ongoing development and refinement of a robust project management framework tailored to MDC automation efforts. What you’ll be doing as a MDC Project Manager I:

Project Management

  • Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and closing of low to mid-level automation projects, ensuring they meet scope, timeline, and budget requirements.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, engineering, sourcing, logistics, automation, and facilities, and external vendors, to achieve project objectives.

  • Track project tasks, identify project risks and issues, and escalate as appropriate.

  • Prepare and present clear, concise project updates to project stakeholders.

  • Support key project milestones such as project planning, design reviews, machine build and programming, factory acceptance testing (FAT), installation, and site acceptance testing (SAT).

Framework Development

  • Support the continuous improvement of MDC’s project management framework.

  • Apply standardized project management tools, processes, and templates to ensure consistency and scalability across MDC automation projects.

  • Support training efforts by learning and applying project management fundamentals and best practices.

Leadership and Support

  • Act as a collaborative team member, supporting project teams and stakeholders.

  • Work closely with senior project managers to build project management capabilities and organizational knowledge.

  • Contribute to cross-functional initiatives aligned with MDC and organizational strategic objectives.

  • Demonstrate accountability and professionalism while learning to manage increasing levels of responsibility.

What you’ll be doing as a MDC Project Manager II:

Project Management

  • Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and closing of mid to high-level automation projects, ensuring they meet scope, timeline, and budget requirements.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, engineering, sourcing, logistics, automation, and facilities, and external vendors, to achieve project objectives.

  • Identify project risks and issues, implement mitigation strategies, and escalate as appropriate.

  • Prepare and present clear, concise project updates to stakeholders and leadership.

  • Support key project milestones such as project planning, design reviews, machine build and programming, factory acceptance testing (FAT), installation, and site acceptance testing (SAT).

Framework Development

  • Support the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of MDC’s project management framework, including tools, documentation, and best practices.

  • Apply and support the development of standardized project management tools, processes, and templates to ensure consistency and scalability across MDC automation projects.

  • Assist in developing training materials and providing guidance to project team members on project management fundamentals and expectations.

Leadership and Support

  • Serve as a trusted partner to project team members and stakeholders, fostering strong collaboration and accountability.

  • Act as a mentor and resource for team members involved in project execution.

  • Occasionally lead cross-functional initiatives aligned with MDC and organizational strategic objectives.

  • Partner with leadership to ensure project outcomes align with business goals and operational priorities.

What you should have for level I:

  • 2-4 years of relevant work experience in Project or Program Management, preferably within manufacturing or automation environments, or equivalent experience required.

  • Year / Bachelor Degree in Project Management, Business Administration, or equivalent years of job experience required.

  • Ability to manage low to mid-level projects across the full project lifecycle, including planning, execution, risk management, and delivery.

  • Familiarity with project management methodologies such as Waterfall and/or Agile, and tools such as Smartsheet, MS Project, BirdView, Jira, or equivalent platforms.

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, and strong attention to detail.

  • Project management certification (CAPM, PMP, or equivalent) is a plus but not required.

  • Interest or exposure to automation, robotics, industrial equipment, or manufacturing environments is a plus but not required.

  • Familiarity with Lean and Six Sigma fundamentals.

What you should have for level II:

  • 4-6 years of relevant work experience in Project or Program Management, preferably within manufacturing or automation environments, or equivalent experience required.

  • 4 Year / Bachelor Degree in Project Management, Business Administration, or equivalent years of job experience required.

  • Proven track record of managing mid to high-level projects across the full project lifecycle, including planning, execution, risk management, and delivery.

  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies such as Waterfall and/or Agile, and proficiency with tools such as Smartsheet, MS Project, BirdView, Jira, or equivalent platforms.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or other project management certification.

  • Interest or exposure to automation, robotics, industrial equipment, or manufacturing environments is a plus but not required.

  • Familiarity with Lean and Six Sigma principles.

  • You will work on-site in Schofield, WI.

  • Minimum travel is required.

Greenheck Group takes pride in providing competitive pay along with a comprehensive benefits package as part of our total rewards program.
