As we continue on this journey, the Project Manager will have end-to-end accountability for the successful delivery and management of one or more strategic Cyber Security improvement initiatives, in line with our overall cyber security strategy. Through the meticulous planning and execution of these projects, this role will significantly contribute to enhancing the organisation's detective, protective, and responsive cyber security capabilities. By effectively managing these initiatives, the Project Manager will strengthen WPP's security posture, increase our security maturity, and elevate our overall security capabilities.

The Project Manager will be a central figure in fostering collaboration, managing engagement with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders, key suppliers, and the wider Cyber Security Team to ensure project success.

 

What you'll be doing:

You will be responsible for orchestrating critical cyber security enhancements, including:

  • Strategic Planning: Defining and aligning the scope of initiatives using established methodologies and innovative approaches.
  • Investment & Business Cases: Leading the development of robust business cases, including accurate estimates for resources, time, costs, risks, issues, dependencies, and assumptions to secure necessary investment. 
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Proactively identifying, engaging, and managing all stakeholders, developing and executing comprehensive communication strategies. 
  • Initiative Mobilisation: Orchestrating the successful kick-off of initiatives by producing and distributing key artifacts (e.g., RACI matrices, scoping documents), facilitating workshops, and establishing effective governance structures. 
  • Governance & Reporting: Defining clear delegation protocols, orchestrating effective meeting cadences, developing streamlined reporting processes, and navigating formal initiative gateways and corporate governance obligations. 
  • Change Management: Driving effective change management strategies to ensure successful adoption and integration of new security capabilities. 

 

What you'll need:

We're looking for an experienced Project Manager with a passion for delivering complex initiatives, who can thrive in a dynamic global environment. Your background will likely include:

  • Stakeholder Management: Demonstrable experience in successful management of diverse internal and external stakeholders, adept at building consensus and driving collaboration. 
  • Problem-Solving: A proactive, analytical, and resilient approach to problem-solving, capable of navigating ambiguity and driving innovative solutions. 
  • Deployment Management: Proven experience managing the deployment and configuration of cyber security systems and tooling within large and complex organisation's. 
  • Project Methodologies: Strong understanding and practical application of project management methodologies.
  • Cyber Security Project Experience: Ideal but not essential, experience managing large-scale and complex cyber security initiatives, such as Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) and Security Operations Centre (SOC) implementations.
