What this job involves:

As a Project Manager, Architecture at JLL Design, you will have an exciting opportunity to join our Architecture team and contribute to the growth of our business through detail-oriented, process-mindful, and best-in-class project delivery for our clients. The Project Manager, Architecture implements the successful management of the design solution across multiple projects, serving as the technical lead and account and team lead while ensuring quality assurance and control during all phases of the design process. We are looking for specific experience and technical skillset to support the day-to-day production of the architecture construction documents for both ground up and tenant improvement with a focus on retail and/or restaurant project types while serving as a lead directing the work of Job Captains on client projects to ensure accuracy and timeliness of deliverables.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Own key client relationships to ensure client satisfaction and build trust striving for long-term relationships
  • Manage a team to execute client project needs providing hands-on support when needed
  • Develop and execute workflow logistics while ensuring project deadlines are met
  • Partner and coordinate with internal teams to ensure overall projects are complete, integrated, and satisfy all requirements of contracts
  • Provide technical assistance as required while initiating and coordinating measures to resolve technical and engineering problems
  • Maintain overall accountability for client approvals and exceed client expectations
  • Recognize potential problems and recommend solutions while ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements
  • Maintain required documentation of all projects and drawings generated while ensuring proper backup procedures are carried out to reduce lost data
  • Monitor quality, accuracy, and consistency of documents, details, and graphics while assisting in the development of standards that ensure document quality and accuracy
  • Ensure client's brand is translated into our set and design intent is carried through Construction Documents

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture
  • 8+ years of Architectural experience
  • Licensed Architect or working toward licensure
  • Previous People Management experience
  • Previous experience developing construction documents for retail environments
  • Proficiency in the application of architectural design standards, practices, techniques, and concepts
  • Proficiency in Revit as primary software (Required), AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Solid time management skills with strong organization skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain required performance level in fast-paced environment with changing priorities and deadlines
  • Must have exceptional standards for quality and strong attention to detail
  • Must be able to work autonomously as well as within a team
  • Retail experience required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Site survey experience
  • Restaurant project type experience in addition to retail
  • Advanced Revit expertise and template development capabilities
  • Experience with ground-up construction projects
  • Understanding of tenant improvement processes and coordination
  • Knowledge of retail brand standards and implementation
  • Experience with quality assurance and control processes in architectural documentation
  • Leadership experience in mentoring and developing Job Captains and junior staff
  • Understanding of construction administration and field coordination

Estimated compensation for this position:

80,000.00 – 98,000.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
