The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) organization, Fabrication Division is seeking an Acquire Project Management Specialist to join the Business Integration Office.  Our team is driving Fabrication Centers to Excellence through onboarding of new statement work and managing work movement and work placement, both permanent and emergent. This position can be located in Hazelwood, MO; Mesa, AZ; or Ridley Park, PA.

Position Overview:

The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Fabrication Division is seeking a highly motivated Acquire Project Management Specialist to join the Business Integration Office (BIO). Our team is dedicated to driving Fabrication Centers of Excellence by onboarding new statement of work and managing both permanent and emergent work movements.

As an Acquire Project Management Specialist, you will play a critical role in managing the seamless integration of new work into Fabrication Operations. This position offers the opportunity to tackle complex challenges, lead cross-functional projects, and influence operational excellence. Success in this role requires strong leadership, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple disciplines.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the onboarding of new statement of work into Fabrication Operations, ensuring alignment with business objectives and operational capabilities.
  • Oversee work movement and placement activities, coordinating both permanent and emergent work transitions.
  • Partner closely with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Supply Chain, Materials Management, Quality, and other support functions to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Develop comprehensive business cases, including return on investment (ROI) analyses, to support decision-making and resource allocation.
  • Identify, assess, and manage project risks proactively, implementing mitigation strategies to minimize impact.
  • Analyze and summarize complex issues, develop innovative solutions, and coordinate resolution efforts across stakeholders.
  • Monitor project progress, track milestones, and report status to leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Facilitate effective communication among diverse teams to ensure clarity, alignment, and timely issue resolution.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to project management processes and onboarding practices.

To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of project management experience, preferably in manufacturing, aerospace, or defense industries.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects involving multiple stakeholders and disciplines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in risk management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to drive results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with project management tools and software

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Qualifying Multi Level question
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification.
  • Experience working within the Work Movement Management System (WMMS)
  • Experience working within aerospace manufacturing or defense program environments.
  • Familiarity with Fabrication operations and statement of work onboarding processes.
  • Experience developing business cases and financial analyses to support project decisions.
  • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative mindset and customer-focused approach.

Summary Pay Range:

Mesa/Hazelwood:

Level 3: $94,350 - $127,650

Level 4:$118,150 - $159,850

Ridley Park;

Level 3: $101,150 - $136,850

Level 4: $126,650 - $171,350
