The Opportunity:
The successful candidate will be a recognized Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Project Management, having specific experience with the “Project Management Fundamentals” (PMF) version practiced at SRF-JRMC or the Naval Shipyards. He or she will serve as a senior level member of our team, assisting in the design, analysis, training, implementation, and continuous improvement of Project Management systems at Ship Repair Facility – Japan Regional Maintenance Center (SRF-JRMC) in Yokosuka, Japan.
In this role you may also document PMF-related processes, advise project managers and other leaders as to recommended courses of action, and identify proposed initiatives that may improve project performance.
As a member of the PMF team, you’ll be proactively engaged with your team members to ensure their success as well as yours. That requires an awareness of what they’re working on, how that integrates with your work, and how it collectively contributes to our customer’s mission.
As a member of a larger team (overall support of SRF-JRMC), you’ll be expected to integrate efforts with others helping in areas such as strategic planning, leadership/workforce development, organizational effectiveness, Planning Cell and Integrated Project Team Development (IPTD), teambuilding, technology applications, cultural dynamics, etc.
The selected candidate will have a broad understanding of Navy ship maintenance.

Qualifications:
Detailed understanding of the US Navy and Ship Maintenance practices
Strong NAVSEA / Naval Shipyard SRF-JRMC Project Management Fundamentals (PMF) experience, including Critical Chain Project Management
Ten plus years of Naval Maintenance experience
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite products
Significant experience in leadership positions
Ability to speak and present comfortably in large and small group settings
Knowledge/experience in Continuous Process Improvement and Lean methodologies
Executive presence - ability to engage and challenge senior leaders
Current Secret Security Clearance
Team player
At times, work is in an industrial environment. Must be able to climb shipboard ladders.
Able to lift/carry 30 pound-boxes up two flights of stairs.

Pay Range:
There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
$71,800 - $150,800
