C.H. Robinson is currently seeking a Project Logistics Regional Manager to join our global commercial project logistics team as a key strategist and subject matter expert who will drive growth and advancement of the business. This role fuels , product innovation, commercial growth, and market expansion by aligning internal capabilities with evolving customer needs and industry dynamics.
The Project Logistics Regional Manager will lead regional product development, foster cross-functional collaboration, and act as a key external ambassador to customers, carriers, and industry stakeholders. With responsibility for financial performance, talent development, and strategic execution, this role plays a pivotal part in scaling Project Logistics across our global network.
Responsibilities:
Serve as the senior subject matter expert (SME) for Project Logistics, shaping product strategy and driving innovation
Lead the development of product enhancements, pricing models, and digital solutions to ensure market leadership and differentiation
Identify emerging market opportunities and design expansion strategies to accelerate growth and increase market share
Proactively assess and mitigate risks to safeguard long-term product viability and performance
Act as the external face of Project Logistics, representing the service line to customers, suppliers, carriers, and industry organizations
Participate in key industry events and conventions to elevate brand presence and cultivate new business opportunities
Build and sustain high-impact relationships that strengthen commercial influence and enhance brand visibility
Collaborate with Solution Design, Engineering, and Strategic Sales to align product capabilities with customer needs and strategic goals
Partner on carrier and yield strategies to maximize service efficiency and profitability
Serve as a strategic gatekeeper, evaluating network opportunities to ensure alignment before engaging technical teams
Own and manage key performance indicators (KPIs), including gross revenue, margin, and volume, to drive product success
Conduct ROI analyses to guide investment decisions and ensure financial accountability
Develop and oversee annual budgets, pricing frameworks, and cost-to-serve models to optimize profitability
Continuously evaluate product performance and adjust strategies in collaboration with leadership to ensure sustained success
Commercial Development & Sales Enablement:
Design and execute regional sales strategies in close partnership with local and regional leadership to drive revenue growth and market penetration
Build, manage, and continuously refine a high-performing commercial pipeline within CRM, ensuring full visibility, accurate tracking, and alignment with strategic revenue targets
Expand wallet share from anchor clients and existing portfolios through targeted solution selling and strategic account development
Deliver market-specific training and enablement programs to equip sales teams with the tools and insights needed to effectively position and sell Project Logistics solutions
Champion the Project Logistics service line across Domestic and Global Forwarding sales and account management teams through ongoing education, engagement, and strategic alignment
Lead complex pricing and solution negotiations at the executive level, leveraging deep product knowledge and commercial acumen to secure high-value opportunities
Collaborate with office network leaders to identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities, ensuring alignment with broader enterprise goals.
Analyze sales performance metrics and market trends to inform strategy adjustments and optimize go-to-market effectiveness
Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and customer-centricity within the sales organization, ensuring consistent execution and measurable impact
Other duties or responsibilities as assigned according to the team and/or country specific requirements
Required Qualifications:
Graduate Degree or equivalent
Minimum 10 years’ experience in international freight forwarding, with proven expertise in over-dimensional and heavy-lift cargo movements
Ability to travel domestically and internationally (20%)
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (preferably in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Deep understanding of logistics, supply chain solution design, and project cargo operations
Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and develop product strategies
Strong strategic orientation, relationship building, negotiation skills, and business acumen
Demonstrated success in sales, financial management, and customer engagement
