Wage: $134,763 - $145,000 / per year*

Job Duties:

Assist with engineering activities, helping to ensure compliance with environmental, safety, or other governmental regulations. Support team leaders in order to manage and direct the construction, operations, or maintenance activities at project site.

Under the supervision of senior team members, assess site grades, utility line installation, and completion of hardscape/landscape installations. Demonstrate knowledge of the procurement needs of the engineering project in order to help maintain the project schedule and notify team of potential schedule changes. Demonstrate understanding and enforcement of construction/engineering contracts, including between DPR and subcontractors as well as DPR and the owner. Assist the superintendent and project manager in the implementation of DPR policies and the execution of engineering/construction projects. Prepare, monitor, and update project schedules and work with the superintendent to reduce project constraints’ impact on the schedule. Prepare, maintain, and implement various document control entities such as daily reports, material procurement logs, submittal logs, as-builts, testing and inspection logs, RFI logs, and change order logs. Distribute new drawings, changes, approved submittals, RFI responses, and other construction/engineering project information to all affected parties. Identify, assemble, negotiate, and distribute change orders to both the owner and subcontractors. Participate in construction/engineering project cost control by analyzing subcontractor expenses and schedules to ensure project is under budget and on time. This includes maintaining internal records and working with subcontractors to make sure changes are getting paid. Prepare owner billing by assembling DPR costs, receiving and reviewing subcontractor invoices and organizing the documents in accordance with the owner’s requirements. Monitor testing and inspection record and reports, safety inspection and accident logs and reports, record building permit inspections and sign-offs. Participate in and apply DPR’s Environmental Health and Safety Plan to constantly maintain injury-free environments including performing weekly safety audits. Assist with preparing agendas, documents, meeting minutes, and actions for various meetings including owner/architect/contractor meetings, subcontractor coordination meetings, safety meetings, and staff meetings.

Must be available to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States. Telecommuting is permitted.

Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a civil/construction engineer-related occupation.

Special Requirements:

Position requires at least 2 years of experience in each of the following skills:

  • Utilize AutoCAD to draft and modify construction layouts, ensuring compliance with design requirements and project specifications.
  • Develop and maintain site logistics plans using Revit Architecture, Bluebeam and Synchro.
  • Prepare and manage RFIs (Requests for Information) and change orders, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure effective resolution of design modifications.
  • Track and analyze production progress using Microsoft Excel and ERP systems to enhance efficiency, resource allocation, and project performance.

Position also requires at least 1 year of experience in each of the following skills:

  • Implement and oversee site safety protocols using industry-recognized training and regulatory standards, including OSHA30, to mitigate risks and ensure compliance.
  • Develop and manage construction budgets and cost forecasts by utilizing cost analysis tools and detailed quantity take-offs.
  • Conduct QA/QC inspections to verify materials and workmanship meet required standards, ensuring adherence to design documents and regulatory specifications.
  • Plan, organize, and execute construction projects using advanced scheduling tools such as Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project to ensure timely project completion.
  • Coordinate and review complex construction models with proficiency in Navisworks for clash detection and visualization, while leveraging BIM 360 products for collaboration and document management across project teams.
