Your Role
We are looking for a Project Director in Hong Kong. Our Project director is a senior studio leader who integrates design, management, and technical excellence across multiple projects, ensuring high‑quality, client‑focused outcomes while fostering an innovative and collaborative culture. The role provides strategic oversight, drives design quality, builds strong client relationships, and mentors talent, combining creative leadership, team management, and business development to strengthen the firm’s design reputation and long‑term partnerships.
What You Will Do
- Lead direction and coordination for multiple concurrent projects, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
- Assign work, supervise design teams, and review work in progress.
- Oversee design activities for Workplace Strategy projects and guide designers through concept development and critiques.
- Partner closely with Studio Directors and Design Directors as part of an integrated leadership team.
- Participate extensively in shaping design concepts, ensuring consistency, quality, and alignment with engineering disciplines.
- Collaborate with Local Design Institutes (LDI) or partners to ensure that built outcomes match the original design intent.
- Actively mentoring staff, fostering talent development and team cohesion.
- Support business development by building new and existing client relationships.
- Work collaboratively with studio leadership and other directors across the firm.
- Lead design, design development, implementation, and project execution from concept through delivery.
- Guide staff development through coaching, mentoring, and maintaining an open, supportive team environment.
Your Qualifications
- +15 years experience managing major commercial interior projects and leading client relationships.
- Strong background in business development and strengthening market positioning.
- Ability to lead significant, design‑driven projects and oversee cross‑discipline collaboration.
- Exceptional presentation, communication, and strategic problem‑solving skills.
- Commitment to sustainability principles and integration strategies.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Rhino, BIM, and Revit is a plus.
- Fluent Chinese Mandarin and English bi-lingual is a plus.
