Job Description
Overview:
The Project Coordinator works collaboratively as a member of the Communities team and assists the division to coordinate and monitor construction activities, provide a key point of contact for resident customer service requests, attend CCC/FAC inspections, coordinate with builders on repairs, administrate invoicing and maintain exceptional overall maintenance and cleanliness of communities. Success in this position is dependent on building effective relationships with the consultants, contractors and Site Supervisors of the builders in our Brookfield Residential Communities.
Key Responsibilities:
Managing Work / Construction Management / Communication
Provide support to the Communities Division, consultants and contractors, by providing onsite coordination and report upon the construction and maintenance of the respective projects.
Monitor and document the general condition of the area of responsibility for compliance with best management practices.
Direct the appropriate consultant, contractor, or field staff to address conditions requiring attention in a timely manner.
Safety- tracking and reporting as required.
Attend scheduled CCC/FAC inspections with consultants and onsite construction representatives.
Coordinate with builders pre and post CCC/FAC, and initiate subsequent actions as required.
Notify builders and contractors of third-party damages and timelines for work to be completed.
Monitor and coordinate resources required to ensure overall cleanliness within Brookfield Residential communities.
Coordination of street cleaning and any community maintenance.
Conduct quarterly raw land investigations & summarize reports.
Customer Focus
Receive and respond to inquiries from community residents on any inquiries/concerns/complaints and coordinate any necessary activities to satisfy concerns with the assistance of the respective manager in a timely manner.
Receive and respond to inquiries from builder partners.
Administration & Cost Control
Assist respective manager with invoice coding, cheque requisitions, budget management, contract control and other general accounting duties as assigned.
Compile Reporting Information.
Track and report on inquiries from community residents on any issues resolved.
Invoice builders and contractors for assigned third party damages in a timely manner.
What You'll Bring:
Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology, Landscape Architecture, Construction Engineering Technology, Urban Planning, Business would be beneficial although not a requirement
Experience in land development, home construction or similar role is preferred
1-2 years of related experience would be an asset
Strong project management skills
Proficient computer skills
Advanced critical thinking and problem solving skills
Effective communication skills; ability to communicate with customers, team members and external partners
Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple competing priorities
Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to visit, inspect and work on worksites outside the office.
Personal vehicle required
Valid Driver’s License required
