As a Programmer Analyst II at United Rentals, who is also a Full Stack Developer is a technology team member with strong technical and analytical skills who will be responsible for End-to-end SDLC including design, code, test, deploy new web/hybrid applications, backend/server-side processes, maintain the data interfaces, support in maintaining existing FAST applications, implement enhancements and ensure stability across systems. Analyze user specifications and requirements related to moderately complex systems applications and develop solutions that meet user needs. The ideal candidate should be eager to learn, adaptable to new technologies, have strong communication skills and a team player.
What you’ll do:
Responsible for developing robust, scalable and maintainable FAST web, hybrid applications and maintaining both the front-end and back-end ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks (like Angular, React etc.) for building user interfaces.
Experience with Cloud platforms like AWS, server-side languages (Python, Ruby, Java, PHP) and frameworks (.NET, Rails, Spring, Node.js) for building APIs and business logic.
Implementing security best practices to protect applications from vulnerabilities.
Ensuring web applications are compatible across different browsers, devices, and operating systems.
Troubleshoot issues and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Implement enhancements and bug fixes as needed.
Perform system upgrades, administration, monitoring, and maintenance
Stay current with and adapt to new technologies and frameworks.
Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
Liaises with internal customers and IT departments and follows up to completion on various programming and IT issues
Evaluates new features and functionality available in upcoming releases
Manages queue of reporting/enhancement requirements from user base
Partner with internal and external vendor Business Analysts on projects
Maintains current project notes and communicate the information to the business partner and developers
Troubleshooting system failures and data discrepancies
Partners with business to identify and resolve data discrepancies
Administers user acceptance testing for all new software developed providing final approval for project to be moved into production
Defines and executes regression test plans to assist in implementation of bug fix and upgrade releases
Support internal and external Help Desk resources with unresolved questions from application users
Responsible for accurate and detailed SDLC documentation including functional requirements, design spec, test plans and test scripts.
Tests requested functionality after development is complete
Tests interaction with other system modules for conflict and user interface
Works with business to understand workflow and gaps. Translates and documents into business and functional requirements.
Performs ongoing documentation of enhancements to applications
Identifies, researches, and resolves problems
Duplicates either the failure in the process or the code. Documents the problem and ascertains corrections to be made.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, engineering, or equivalent experience (Master's degree preferred).
Experience in full stack development in agile methodology.
5-7 years related experiences in a mid to large-sized complex organization.
Strong understanding of data and application behavior.
Good problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to interact effectively and partner with people at all levels; extremely skilled at developing and working with and through teams; a collaborative team player.
Excellent analytical, problem solving/decision making skills; ability to make timely, effective, fact-based decisions.
