Days (United States of America)The Purchased Services Program Manager is a highly visible position with accountability at the GPO level to develop and execute sourcing strategies for purchased services and non-medical supplies while aligning associated Supply Chain, P2P, and other administrative processes to support the operational and data needs of the organization. This position will assist in the development of contracts to support over $1B in aggregate spend. This position is responsible for facilitating a member-participation sourcing teams, assessing opportunities, and formulating sourcing strategies, and interacting with business partners and key stakeholders. This position is expected to build strategic alliances with key stakeholders as it relates to successfully executing the Supply Chain Strategy.
Manage assigned sourcing initiatives including scoping analysis, RFP development, proposal evaluations, negotiations, communication of recommendations, contracting, and ongoing supplier management.
Assists with the development and implementation of strategies and processes for reducing supply and service expenses while not forfeiting quality of care and supporting strategic vision of operational business owner.
Monitors, communicates, and makes improvements to utilization profiling within assigned categories.
Collaborates with members in identifying and implementing improvements and standardization in support of initiatives; assists in the post-implementation analysis to ensure requirements are fulfilled.
Monitors and reports contract compliance to identify recurring trends and key opportunities for vendor or internal improvements.
Aligns Supply Chain, P2P, and other administrative processes to support the contractual, operational, and data needs of the organization.
Actively manages contract portfolio in assigned categories to ensure continuity of service and alignment with evolving operational strategies.
Leads member improvement initiatives including discovering cost savings opportunities, developing strategy, standardizing services, and devising implementation plans within assigned categories.
Required Minimum Education: 4-year/ Bachelor’s Degree

Minimum Years and Type of Experience:
5 years progressive sourcing or management experience in relevant service lines. Experience with nonclinical services (facilities, operations support, equipment maintenance, staffing, etc.) and nonmedical supplies (operations, office, housekeeping, minor equipment, etc.) is required.
Demonstrated successful contract negotiation skills and ability to apply those skills to establish and administer complex contracts is strongly preferred. Has demonstrated ability with excellent interpersonal skills to effectively form collaborative team relationships with senior leaders, managers/directors, physicians, vendors, and clinical staff to support AHP’s goals. Possesses excellent oral and written communication skills and the demonstrated ability to communicate well at all levels of an organization. Must have demonstrated the usefulness of “evidence-based” practice as a method for decision making. Superior analytical skills required. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite – Word, PowerPoint, Excel and experience in working with large-scale automated systems. Expertise in preparing, importing and manipulating information in spreadsheets and databases, Word documents and PowerPoint presentations. Must possess the ability to deal with multiple priorities, be self-motivated, work tight time frames/deadlines, and function independently to implement new programs within a broad scope of guidelines and established policies and goals.
Direct GPO/supply chain experience, or healthcare service line leadership preferred. Previous experience working within an enterprise resource management, procurement, and/or purchasing system. Previous healthcare experience in clinical services (perioperative, inpatient, outpatient, support) preferred. Previous experience working in an IT environment (for IT Sourcing roles).
