Program Manager – Global Sustainability (Band 7)

How will you make an impact?
The Global Sustainability Program Manager collaborates with key workstreams to develop and implement project plans, align initiatives, and establish governance processes for timely updates and decisions.
What will you do?
- Manage projects and processes to support ongoing sustainability initiatives, regulatory reporting requirements, internal special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned.
- Drive portfolio visibility through the development of dashboards, accurate data tracking, and timely updates that allow for clear portfolio oversight and decision-making.
- Develop, maintain, and refine program management tools, templates, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms to elevate transparency, consistency, and performance visibility across all sustainability initiatives.
- Work together with cross-functional teams (EHS, CSR, Procurement, R&D, Operations, Legal, Trade Compliance) to ensure sustainability projects align with company goals and deliver tangible improvements in compliance, performance, or sustainability impact.
- Support capability development through training and coaching teams in program management and PPI tools and practices, growing adoption, skill proficiency, and consistent application of governance standards.
- Maintain internal collaboration and knowledge-sharing platforms (e.g., SharePoint, Smartsheet, MS Teams) by ensuring timely updates and accessibility of project documentation, templates, and guidelines.
How will you get here?
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Operations, Business, Supply Chain, or related field required.
- Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) preferred.
Experience
- 7+ years of experience leading or supporting programs and projects in a matrixed, global organization.
- Demonstrated success managing sustainability, operational efficiency, or process improvement initiatives.
- Demonstrated skill in program management software (Smartsheet, MS Project) and MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong project and program management skills, including planning, governance, and reporting.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with ability to influence at multiple organizational levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a focus on measurable results.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across diverse, global teams in a dynamic environment.
- Organized and meticulous with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proactive and adaptable approach with a focus on continuous improvement.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the life sciences, biotech, or manufacturing industry.
- Background in PPI, Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
- Experience supporting sustainability reporting or compliance programs.
