Job Description:
This position serves as the Bengals to Tigers Bridge Program Manager within the Office of Transition & Student Success, reporting to the Director of Transition & Student Success. The office plays a pivotal role in helping students successfully transition to LSU, fostering a sense of belonging, and empowering them to achieve their academic and personal goals through university-wide programs, including Bengal Bound Orientation, Welcome Week, STRIPES, the Student Success Hub & the Bengals to Tigers Bridge Program.
The Bengals to Tigers Bridge Program Manager provides leadership, coordination, and operational oversight for the Bengals to Tigers (B2T) Bridge Program and related transfer pathways in partnership with LSU System institutions. The position oversees daily program operations, supervises student staff, manages a caseload of bridge participants, and advances student success through intentional programming, proactive outreach, data-informed interventions, and collaboration with campus and system partners. This role also supports the development and implementation of additional transfer pathways aligned with LSU’s enrollment, transition, and student success priorities.
Program Coordination & Operations 30%
- Serve as the primary contact for the Bengals to Tigers Bridge Program and related pathways, overseeing daily operation, timelines, and communications across LSU, LSUE, and other LSU system partners.
- Manage program logistics, including onboarding, enrollment processes, orientation participation, scheduling, and transition activities.
- Oversee a student support team (4-10 students) dedicated to bridge programming, including recruitment, training, scheduling, supervision, and performance feedback to ensure high-quality peer support and program delivery.
- Develop, implement, and assess student success workshops, transition events, and initiatives that enhance student preparedness, engagement, and sense of belonging.
- Coordinate summer orientation and early academic experiences for bridge students, aligned with best practices in bridge programming.
- Oversees managing the Bridge Program budget, contracts, expenditures, and reporting in alignment with university fiscal policies to support the Director.
- Track program metrics, maintain accurate rosters and data systems, and regularly evaluate program effectiveness to inform continuous improvement. o
Caseload Management & Student Success (30%)
- Manage an assigned caseload of bridge participants, providing individualized support through one-on-one meetings, proactive outreach, and high-touch case management.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for bridge students, identifying and triaging academic, financial, personal, and administrative needs and connecting students to appropriate campus resources.
- Conduct regular student check-ins to monitor academic progress, engagement, and completion of Bridge requirements.
- Collaborate with LSU System advising and student success teams to support students’ academic planning, course registration, and transfer readiness.
- Maintain accurate meeting notes, progress documentation, and student records in systems such as Navigate and Workday Student.
- Provide quarterly progress summaries and annual reports highlighting student outcomes, persistence rates, and key success indicators.
Special Populations Student Support (20%)
- Collaborate with the Executive Director for Special Populations and their team to support Pre-Scholars Academy and contribute to the broader strategy for special population student success.
- Proactively identify and address academic, financial, social, and administrative barriers impacting bridge students.
- Implement a structured needs assessment cycle, including pre-term diagnostics, early-term pulse checks, and end-of-term reflections to identify pain points related to course access, advising clarity, workload balance, transportation, employment, technology, and etc.
- Utilize data points, such as progress reports, mid-term grades, DFW/drop patterns, and credit articulation delays to trigger timely outreach and coordinated interventions.
- Partner with Financial Aid to monitor unmet need trends and connect students to last-dollar supports, emergency aid, and retention grants
- Host office hours and targeted outreach efforts to surface barriers in real time and translate insights into process improvements.
- Produce regular cohort analytics and summaries, including enrollment, credit momentum, GPA, persistence, transfer outcomes, and graduation indicators.
New Student Programming & Transition & Student Success Initiatives (15%)
- Develops new student success sessions and presentations focused on academic preparation, resource awareness, and belonging.
- Supports and leads the recruitment, selection, training, and management of the orientation team & success assistants.
- Collaborate with campus partners to strengthen relationships and enhance transition and student success programming
- Evaluates and implements new student programming (first-year and transfer students), including Bengal Bound Orientation, Welcome Week, Success, and other transition initiatives. This may include lifting items weighing about 15 pounds.
Other Duties (5%)
- Manage Enrollment Management programs, including supporting admissions, orientation, transition, retention, and enrolled student programming.
- Complete special projects as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Three years of related professional experience.

Special Qualifications
- Must be available to work nights and weekends, especially during peak periods.
- This position regularly engages in financial matters including handling credit cards, cash, grant funds, or other university funds, and must undergo a credit check per FASOP HR-04.
- As with all LSU employees, due to this position title and/or responsibilities, this position has an obligation to assist students in the acquisition of necessary services. Should a student appear in need of or seek assistance with issues of an emotional, behavioral, or mental health related matter they should be referred to the proper service within the Student Health Center.
