Job Description:

Parsons is looking for a Design Manager and Bridge expert to be part of our Mobility Solutions team. This is a new addition to staff and is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Design-Build professional that enjoys working on various Alternative Project Delivery projects (APD) and in particular bridge projects.

As a leader in APD, Parsons offers numerous opportunities to deliver signature projects across North America and around the globe. Experienced professionals from our deep pool of talent will support this new position to provide our clients with quality designs that incorporate innovation and are delivered on time and within budget.


What You'll be Doing:

DB Capture and Project Management

  • Serves as a Capture Manager for APD projects

  • Responsible for developing and executing the Win Strategy and leading Proposals

  • Leads and coordinates solving complex structural technical issues for ongoing pursuits and projects with SMEs within the company

  • Serves as a Structures or Overall Design Manager for Alternative Program Delivery Design Build projects and will be responsible for:

    • Ensures we meet our deliverable schedules.

    • Ensures that quality management procedures are in effectively implemented.

  • Supports technology initiatives and provides technical training and best-practice knowledge sharing to promote Parsons brand and reputation within the bridge engineering practice area

Operational responsibilities

  • Identifies the staffing plan for projects and pursuits

  • Identifies the need for new hires and serves as Hiring Manager for open requisitions for bridge engineers

  • Identifies strategic potential bridge engineer candidates to hire and leads recruiting efforts for these key Dept. hires.

  • Identifies and coordinates training needs and requests for their staff.

  • Serves as the main point of contact for various clients and carries out Client Management Plans.

  • Attends key conferences for networking and brand exposure.

  • Serves on a committee or board for professional organizations that meet our objectives.

Required Education/Experience:

  •  4-year degree in Civil Engineering (or related ) required

  • At least 20+ years of related work experience is required

  • Registered Professional Engineer

  • Significant experience on complex bridge projects.
     

Preferred Education/Experience:

  • Design/Build Design Manager experience

  • Proven background of engaging with multidisciplinary design teams on challenging, high-profile projects.

  • Active in related professional associations such as ASBI, and DBIA

Salary Range: $157,500.00 - $283,500.00
