In this role, the Scheduler/Planner will be primarily responsible for planning and scheduling Production builds in the Wilsonville Plant. They will utilize the data within the ERP system to plan and execute builds on the Production floor, ensuring that delivery schedules are maintained on time. They will interface with the Sales VP and Operations manager to ensure that the forecasted customer requirements are fully considered in addition to the existing orders. This will be primarily at the Wilsonville site but may also include work at the Hood River Location.
- Responsible for managing the Production Work Schedule
- Plans and Monitors materials through Purchasing to ensure parts arrive to support the Build Schedule
- Performs cycle counts when needed to ensure materials availability for Production
- Approves Sales Orders
- Updates Databases with changes to customer orders
- Notifies Operations Manager when material shortages jeopardize Shipments
- Heavy Equipment Exposure:
Regular interaction with large automotive components that are heavy, bulky, or awkwardly shaped. - Electrical Hazards:
Potential exposure to live circuits, testing equipment, and powered machinery. Strict adherence to safety protocols is required. - Mobility Demands:
Frequent walking, standing, and navigating the production floor. May involve prolonged periods of standing and physical movement. - Safety Awareness:
Must be vigilant in high-traffic areas with forklifts and other moving equipment. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory.
Required Skills
- Experience with ERP/MRP, Order Entry, Material Management and Purchasing
- Strong analytical skills and decision making
- Effective written and verbal communication skills with good interpersonal skills
- Proficient in MS Office tools
- Able to multitask and prioritize tasks with responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
- An action-oriented individual who is comfortable taking a hands-on approach
- Inventory management and auditing skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience in automotive or heavy manufacturing industries.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and conditions.
Salary Range:
$60,400 - $83,050
