Product Lead – Customer Profile & Platform

The Product Lead – Customer Profile & Platform is responsible for defining and executing the product strategy and roadmap for platform capabilities that support unified customer data, operational workflows, and omni-channel customer experiences. This role plays a critical part in delivering enterprise-grade, scalable, and secure platform solutions as part of OneMain Financial’s broader digital transformation. You will partner closely with engineering, data, analytics, privacy, and business teams to build and enhance platform capabilities that enable teams across the organization to effectively manage and utilize customer data. This is a highly cross-functional role requiring a balance of product strategy, technical depth, and hands-on execution.

In the Role:

  • Define and execute the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for customer profile and related platform capabilities

  • Align product initiatives with organizational goals, platform architecture, and long-term technology strategy

  • Own end-to-end product execution, including creating PRDs, epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria

  • Act as Product Owner within Agile teams, managing backlogs, sprint planning, and delivery milestones

  • Ensure timely, high-quality delivery of platform features and enhancements

  • Partner with engineering, data, analytics, and security teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-impact product solutions

  • Collaborate with stakeholders across product, marketing, operations, and customer service to ensure platform capabilities support business needs and operational workflows

  • Work closely with data, privacy, and compliance teams to establish and maintain standards for data accuracy, governance, and security, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements

  • Define KPIs and success metrics to measure platform performance, adoption, and business impact

  • Continuously evaluate product performance and drive optimization based on data, insights, and stakeholder feedback

  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and enable new business capabilities

  • Explore and leverage advanced analytics, AI/ML, and automation to enhance platform functionality

  • Communicate product strategy, roadmap progress, and outcomes to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of product management experience, preferably in platform or enterprise product environments

  • 3+ years of experience working with technical products such as APIs, data platforms, or backend services

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)

  • Strong experience creating Product Requirement Documents (PRDs), writing epics and user stories, and managing product backlogs

  • Solid understanding of modern software architecture, including cloud platforms, APIs, microservices, and data platforms/integration

  •  Experience working within Agile development environments

  •  Strong ability to translate business needs into scalable technical product solutions

  • Experience defining KPIs and using data to drive product decisions and prioritization

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior leadership

Preferred:

  • Experience working in regulated industries such as financial services or fintech

  • Familiarity with data governance, privacy, and compliance standards and frameworks

  • Experience leveraging advanced analytics, AI/ML, or automation within platform or data products

Location:  

This role is Hybrid. You should be located within commutable distance to one of our offices located in Baltimore, MD, or Irving, TX with expectations of being in the office Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Target base salary range is $145,000-$165,000 which is based on various factors including skills and work experience. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for a competitive compensation program that is based on individual and company performance.
