Overview
Rogue's product development team is looking for a CAD/Drafting Technician to help create and improve our products. In this role, you will be responsible for making detailed part drawings and developing technical training/assembly manuals/customer instructions.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about fitness, highly self-motivated, and has great attention to detail. This position will have a direct role in working on innovative projects and contributing to our top-quality equipment. Passion about Rogue and the strength training market is critical to this role.
The Product Designer - CAD/Drafting Technician is a fully onsite role in Columbus, Ohio. Remote work is not available. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer.
Responsibilities
Assist in the development of Illustrated Parts Catalogs, providing validated parts structures and corresponding illustrations
Engineer models, and illustrator to use in technical manuals, customer assembly instructions and technical training documentation
Update and modify existing drawings based on feedback from the design and manufacturing teams
Create and maintain detailed records of design modifications, including change orders and revision histories
Qualifications
Associate's Degree in Drafting, CAD Technology, Engineering Technology, or a related field
Previous experience as a drafter or in a similar role is often preferred. This can include internships or project-based work if you're newer to the field
Understanding of drafting standards, practices, and techniques, including the ability to create detailed and accurate technical drawings
Experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software such as AutoCAD, Inventor, Illustrator, SolidWorks, or similar tools
Very strong mechanical aptitude with ability to complete mathematical calculations as required
