ABOUT THE ROLE

Tide is expanding its Procurement function to support rapid business growth and drive operational efficiency. Reporting to the Procurement Manager, the Procurement Specialist will play a critical role in the day-to-day operations and administration of the procurement lifecycle, while having the opportunity to contribute to the procurement strategy under direction from the Head of Procurement. This position is ideal for an individual with either a Procurement generalist or IT-specific background (e.g., IT systems administration) looking to transition into a more commercial and strategic role.

Tide views Procurement not as a policing function, but as a proactive Business Partner that enables the organisation to achieve correct commercial value and manage risk efficiently. The Procurement Specialist will be a foundational member of this growing team, responsible for the operational backbone that supports strategic sourcing.

As the Procurement Specialist, you will be:

  • Systems and Data Administration: Owning the administration and data integrity of procurement systems (e.g. Orchestration, Intake and e-Signing), ensuring accurate and up-to-date supplier and contract records.
  • Contract and Process Management: Shepherding spend approvals and contract signing processes and managing the flow of procurement activities, ensuring all processes follow correct internal policies and legal requirements.
  • SaaS Usage Analysis: Analysing the usage, efficiency, and cost of the company's SaaS tools to identify optimisation opportunities and provide data-driven insights to stakeholders.
  • Process Compliance & Project Management: Acting as the primary 'shepherd' and project manager for end-to-end procurement processes, collaborating across the organisation to drive timely completion and adherence to governance.
  • Business Partnering: Operating as a collaborative and humble business partner, assisting internal teams in navigating the procurement process to ensure maximum value is achieved, not just policy compliance.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • 2–4 years of experience in an IT procurement, IT systems administration, or a related role where SaaS tools were a primary focus.
  • Experience in administering or maintaining procurement/financial systems is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrable experience managing or analysing the usage, licensing, or administration of SaaS tools in a professional environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with proven ability to collaborate effectively with a global employee base across different time zones.
  • A driven and independent self-starter who can manage competing priorities while maintaining a high level of collaborative humility and a growth mindset.
  • A keen desire to learn commercial negotiation and contracting principles and grow into a more value-focused, commercial procurement career.
  • Strong analytical skills with an ability to present data clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
