We’re looking for a Procurement Operations Manager to lead the day to day running of procurement operations, strengthen spend control, and improve how the business engages with Procurement. This is a role where you will have real influence over processes, systems, supplier management and stakeholder experience.

You’ll lead the Procurement Operations Team and own the operational backbone of Procurement from intake and workflow management to supplier data, contracts, reporting and systems. You’ll act as the main point of contact for stakeholders, ensure strong spend governance, and help shape how Procurement adds value across the business.

The key responsibilities of the role are as follows:

  • Lead and develop the Procurement Operations team, supporting performance and career development.
  • Manage procurement intake, triage and workflow across BAU activity, renewals and new requests
  • Maintain excellent operational knowledge of the business and act as the ‘voice of the customer’ to shape strategy process and policies.
  • Own the design and delivery of core operational processes including onboarding and terminations, working with the Procurement Risk team ensure compliance with all policy. 
  • Maintain accurate contract and supplier data to meet policy, reporting and business needs
  • Deliver effective spend management, including purchase requests, orders and spend controls.
  • Own and optimise procurement systems, ensuring they are used consistently and efficiently.
  • Act as the business’s first point of contact for Procurement and represent stakeholder needs.
  • Oversee outsourced procurement activity delivered by the Group Shared Service Centre.
  • Support the delivery of strong spend control principals through the operation of the purchase request, order process and spend control tower.
  • Provide regular operational reporting and insight to improve efficiency and reduce risk.
  • Support strong risk and compliance standards across procurement policies and processes.
  • Lead communications and engagement to promote Procurement across the business.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience leading operational teams in a procurement or supply chain environment.
  • Strong planning, organisation and delivery skills.
  • Comfortable working at pace and managing competing priorities.
  • Track record of improving processes and driving continuous improvement.
  • Excellent relationship management and influencing skills.
  • Commercially and financially minded, with strong analytical capability.
  • Experience in procurement or supply chain management.
  • Exposure to regulated environments with strong risk and compliance expectations.
  • Strong systems capability, including procurement tools and Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of automotive, leasing or operational supply chains is advantageous.
