Job Summary: As a National Bank Examiner/Bank Examiner (Analyst to the DC), you will advise the Deputy Comptroller in organizing, planning, and directing the duties, responsibilities, and activities of the sub-unit. This position is in Chartering, Organization and Structure (CO&S) located within the following locations: Chicago, Illinois Dallas, Texas Denver, Colorado New York, New York Washington, DC Alternate Location Arrangement (ALA) option available. Major Duties:

  • As a National Bank Examiner/Bank Examiner (Analyst to the DC), you will: Coordinate with the CO&S Directors in managing and implementing the Senior Deputy Comptroller for Chartering, Organization and Structure's initiatives and activities relevant to CO&S. Review work performed by the CO&S staff on behalf of the Deputy Comptroller for non-delegated filings. Draft and review items for Deputy Comptroller signature. Conduct comprehensive document reviews, which include substantial revision and editing, and resolve any questions prior to Deputy Comptroller review and signature. Represent the Deputy Comptroller in meetings with external audiences and/or other governmental agencies. Utilize the Deputy Comptroller's calendar as a governance tool: prioritize engagements that drive CO&S outcomes, set agendas with explicit decision-making objectives, and ensure timely pre-briefs and post-meeting captures. As a member of the CO&S Budget Working Group, assist the Director for Corporate Activities in budget formulation. Participate in CO&S' outreach and awareness, and relationship with supervision programs.

Qualifications: You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement: You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the NB-V band level. Examples of specialized experience for this position include: Evaluating the application of safety and soundness principles of a financial institution; AND Organizing and planning business unit duties, responsibilities, or activities. The experience may have been gained in the public sector, private sector, or through volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
