Role Description
- As a Vice President – Process Engineer, you will be a key contributor to Corporate Bank’s strategic transformation agenda. You will partner Corporate Banking branch operations and coverage support teams to re‑engineer processes, enhance controls, automate workflows, and transform risk‑management and client‑service capabilities.
- You will help build centers of excellence across process optimization, automation, and data analytics—delivering measurable improvements in efficiency, cycle time, resiliency, and digital enablement, in line with Corporate Bank’s operating model.
- The role reports to the Front to Back Operations Transformation Lead.
Corporate Bank – Division Overview
- The Corporate Bank (CB) is Deutsche Bank’s engine for serving corporate and institutional clients globally. It provides cash management, trade finance & lending, trust & agency services, and securities services, supporting companies’ treasury, liquidity, and transaction‑banking needs. The division plays a pivotal role in enabling efficient, secure, and innovative financial operations for global corporates.
- Corporate Bank Operations (CB Operations) is a fully front‑to‑back aligned delivery model providing transaction processing, reporting, and cash‑management operational services to CB product lines, while driving standardization, digitization, and scalable operational excellence.
- CB Operations also partners closely with Corporate Banking branch and coverage teams to support client onboarding, servicing, and transaction execution at the country and regional level.

Your key responsibilities
Front–to–Back Process Transformation
- Lead front‑to‑back redesign initiatives across Corporate Bank Operations, with a focus on standardization, digital transformation, and operational excellence.
- Execute target operating model (TOM) strategies covering process controls, system architecture, automation pathways, and location strategy including process touchpoints with Corporate Banking branches and local client servicing units.
Process Engineering & Automation
- Establish and contribute to Centers of Excellence for process re‑engineering, Lean/Six‑Sigma driven optimization, automation, and data/analytics.
- Develop end‑to‑end process models to identify and eliminate inefficiencies, reduce risk, and create scalable future‑state designs spanning central operations and branch‑based activities such as client servicing, documentation, and transaction initiation.
- Drive digital‑automation initiatives, leveraging workflow tools, analytics, and scenario modelling.
Change Delivery & Governance
- Partners with product, technology, and operational leads to deliver global transformation programs with strong governance.
- Oversee change management ensuring robust risk controls, resiliency, automated testing, and adherence to audit/regulatory standards including branch‑level controls and supervisory processes.
Stakeholder & Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Actively collaborate across CB business lines, Operations, Technology, Risk, and Control functions as well as regional Corporate Banking branch and coverage teams to uplift client experience, reduce operational risk, and enhance control maturity.
- Drive continuous‑improvement culture across CB Operations through training, coaching, and best‑practice adoption.
Your skills and experience
- 15+ years of transformation experience in banking operations, especially in Operations Transformation with exposure to branch operations and client servicing models.
- Deep understanding of Corporate Bank product sets: cash management, payments, trade finance, lending, trust & agency services, and securities services.
- Strong experience in F2B transformation, target‑state process design, and operational‑control uplift across both central operations and branch‑based execution.
- Proven expertise in Lean/Six Sigma, process re‑engineering, and automation‑led process redesign.
- Strategic thinker with proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead large‑scale change initiatives.
- Strong communication, facilitation, and presentation skills—capable of influencing diverse global teams including relationship managers and branch stakeholders.
- Organized, resilient, and effective in a fast‑paced, matrixed environment; able to manage multiple priorities and deliver against deadlines.
- Experience with digital platforms and automation ecosystems, including workflow tools, data analytics, and process‑modelling standards.
