Job Description
We’re looking for a proactive Process Improvement Lead to strengthen our Operational Excellence team at our new head office in Nootdorp, the Netherlands. You’ll step into a greenfield environment—where your impact can be visible from day one.
A key part of the role is simplifying and aligning processes with stakeholders, using strong change‑management skills to reduce resistance and support functions that are ready to progress. You will help bring structure and clarity to a landscape where information is still fragmented and processes are at different levels of maturity. While some documentation exists, overall process ownership sits with the global functions. You will enable them to keep processes current through training, standardization, and a focus on simplicity. As Fugro moves toward clearer guidelines and more consistent standards, you will help build this capability and contribute to a more structured, scalable process environment.
If you enjoy turning complexity into clarity, this role gives you the space to do exactly that. You’ll work with a high level of independence, shaping how our global functions simplify, standardize, and elevate their processes.
Your Role
You start by understanding the current process landscape, assessing what exists, and determining where to begin using a risk‑based approach;
You guide teams in simplifying and standardizing processes, focusing on what is essential and removing unnecessary complexity;
You collaborate with subject matter experts to capture current workflows, pain points, and business requirements;
You ensure functional requirements are integrated and aligned with overall process governance;
You use 2C8 to translate workflows into clear, scalable, and easy‑to‑adopt process visuals.
Your Track Record
You have a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Business Information Management, or a related field, supported by at least 7 years experience in a technical or process‑focused environment;
You have the ability to lead organizational change, reduce resistance, and embed improvements sustainably across functions;
You have delivered complex, end‑to‑end process improvement initiatives—from discovery and mapping to redesign, governance alignment, and global rollout;
You possess strong collaboration skills, working effectively with senior leadership, operational teams, and cross‑functional stakeholders to drive adoption and influence decisions;
You hold Lean Six Sigma Green Belt–level expertise (or equivalent), with additional training in process mapping or continuous improvement considered a plus.
What Fugro offers
Based on your relevant experience, the salary ranges from €5.000 to €6.700. This amount is part of our salary range, with opportunities for growth within the role;
29 holidays per year based on a fulltime employment (of which 4 are appointed by Fugro management) and the possibility to purchase 12 additional days;
