Job Description:
Purchasing planning for Finished Goods, Equipment and Intercompany (ID) material based on sales forecast and regular demand.
Monitor inventory levels to ensure minimum stock levels are maintained.
Analyze MRP and place purchase orders in a timely manner.
Daily delivery follow-up with suppliers.
Follow up on order confirmations, past due deliveries, quality and invoicing issues.
Resolve invoices discrepancies, damaged material and missing material reports with vendors.
Planning and scheduling transportation for all the shipments, maintain communication with forwarders in order to ensure shipments are delivered on time.
Coordinate with customs brokers to ensure timely import of goods (Laredo, Altamira, Manzanillo, Monterrey airport). Provide documentation for import process, identify and solve any issues in the process in order to avoid demurrages, guaranties, storages expenses or any other kind of expenses. Around 99% foreign purchases and import process is required.
Daily follow up with warehouses to track material entries and avoid delays in receiving.
Maintain accurate records of delivery dates, due dates, prices, and other important data in BPCS.
Maintain close communication with Customer service team, sales managers and product managers to provide order status, lead times, customer requirements, etc.
Proactively report any issues or delay to internal clients (Customer service team, Sales Manager, Product Manager, etc).
Prepare and analyze in transit inventory value, forecast of material receipts within the month, finance material in transit report, and others reports required.
Keep on track KPI’s
Comply with ISO 9001 and ESAB guidelines
Revise status of FORMLOG’s (Request of stock) in order to confirm requirements are not due and avoid purchase of unnecessary materials
Propose adjustments and revisions to planning parameters for safety stocks.
Support Supply Chain Manager and Sales Team on other duties or activities as required by the Supply Chain Manager.
Product face-in and face-out to guarantee appropriate inventory depletion
